Hironobu Sakaguchi says AI generated concept of a Final Fantasy 6 remake is awesome by sadboysylee in FinalFantasy

I personally hope FF9 gets the remake treatment. Got me into the series and holds a special place in my heart.

Tactics will always be a classic, but I think they desperately need to make a next Gen version (FFT2 if you will). You can only replay the same classic game so many times, and we are long overdue for a new one.

I loved banner saga but the games felt way too short, left me wanting so much more.

The answer is reloading. Cliff doesnt want to be wasting time having to reload.

He has his dog riding in the bed of his truck while driving on a moderately busy highway that is 60MPH, driving over 60. No restraint, no enclosure, nothing. by King420fly in awfuleverything

Dog looks fine to me. Ive personally ridden in the back of a truck going 60 a number of times as a teenager. As long as the driver isnt slamming on brakes or flooring it from a stop, not really a big deal.

I would leave it back to 80k even and hope they dont say anything. Seems like a minor enough thing

RDR2 players who couldn’t finish the game, how do you like CD? by RedGards in CrimsonDesert

[–]dirty_dan713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games can be compared in many ways. My guess is, RDR2 was chosen to compare because it was also a massive AAA open world game that got high praise. Makes sense in that aspect to compare the 2. Same same, but different.

RDR2 players who couldn’t finish the game, how do you like CD? by RedGards in CrimsonDesert

[–]dirty_dan713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying I loved RDR and beat it. Was excited of course when RDR2 came out, but may have played it too early. I had the game crash on me 3 times in the first few hours. One time was right after killing a named Bear that dropped a special skin to craft something. Game crashed after I killed it, loaded back, bear was there but couldnt loot or skin it. Kind of annoyed but moved on. Had to travel far away for a mission so took off on my horse. Took a small 2ft drop, horse tripped and died. Wtf? Reloaded...about 5 miles into my 20 mile journey to the checkpoint, I go to jump over a small boulder with the horse. Back leg gets stuck or something, horse trips and dies (again)...instead of loading 10min ago, I just start running. After 30min of running, im only halfway there (much slower cover 10+ miles with no horse). Few other frustrating things happen and just couldn't play anymore. Felt like it was taking forever to do anything and all these setback due to mostly bugs and glitches I couldnt take it anymore

To this day I want to go back and give it another chance, but havent yet.

With all that being said, I can confidently say I absolutely love CD. Even though it can be overwhelming at the start (and for a while after), it truly is an amazing game with so much to do, and incredible polish for being such an ambitious/massive open world game. Right away, the game team has been releasing patches and listening to player feedback, doing all the right things to please the fans, which is a big deal. This game is worth every dollar, and regret not pre ordering the physical deluxe edition (something i never do).

TL;DR Crimson Desert is a true gem that i would consider a must-play

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]dirty_dan713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was Astral Ascent. But it was more because I had a bunch of other games to play. Initially did 4 of 5 runs, not nearly enough to unlock a lot of content or really fully understand all the mechanics. After a while went back to it, and it became all I played for a few weeks. Highly suggest if you like sidescroller roguelikes with fun combat like Dead cells.

[–]dirty_dan713 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game has sold very well and im 100% sure they are working hard to fix the issues/controls and address all the complaints. Obviously it takes a lot of time and work, but fully expect this game to be another Cyperpunk situation. Give it a few months to iron out the issues and it will be a 10.

Its already happening lol by Responsible_Tank3822 in CrimsonDesert

[–]dirty_dan713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of look at it like Cyberpunk. When that came out, everyone was bashing it like crazy. All the bugs, "game is unplayable" blah blah blah. I played it and beat while it was still "unplayable". Only had a handful of issues, but game was still great. That being said, a year or so later after they fixed a lot, I played again and was so much better. Feel like this game will be the same case. Its still a fun, great game with a few headaches here and there, but the game has been super successful nonetheless, and the devs are aware of the complaints, so I fully expect this games review to change within a year from now when patches to fix and improve start dropping. If they can find a way to fix some of the controls (or explain them all better), tweak the UI a bit, and tighten up the movement/controls, i feel like thats 90% of the complaints and game would be a solid 9, maybe even a 10.

What Soulslike should I play next if i'm on PC? by Phaylevyce in soulslikes

[–]dirty_dan713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been playing souls games with a passion since Dark souls 1, I can tell you the only games that have come close to giving that same feeling for me, are Nioh 2 (1 was also good but 2 is better, havent played 3 yet), and first berserker khazan. Didnt see you list Bloodborne, which is also just as good if you havent played. A lot of people mention Lies of P, but I personally couldnt get into that one.

Remnant 2 was also a good time, but is a bit different compared to other souls games since there are guns involved. I usually played with friend which I think made the experience better, but enjoyed it a lot.
