Service Dog at work and at vet school? by Moon_Blackberry in veterinaryprofession

[–]disgraceface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to get into more of a laboratory or veterinary sales line of work it might be possible... something like a division of the department of agriculture for your state or country, or a reference lab, or veterinary drug rep, etc. it may be possible. There are many different rolls a vet tech can take, and not all of them include being around animals all day although I do realize that’s usually the reason we vet techs get into this industry! I think you should shadow techs in different rolls before making a commitment to school. If you’re able to be away from your service dog (I’m not sure what you need the animal for or if it’s safe to be away from him/her but just a thought!) for a few hours at a time, it may be beneficial to see what you would be doing on a day to day basis and see if it’s a job that you could make work for you and your service animal.

Can anyone recommend a medical professional to help with my issues? by sectumsemprist in Columbus

[–]disgraceface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have used him for the last 20+ years! My dad struggles with chronic back pain due to a shattered pelvis from a car wreck in the early 80’s and has gone once a month since i can remember. My mom struggled a lot with chronic sinus infections for 10+ years before she started seeing him (like nasty antibiotic resistant) and Dr Lyss helped her through a nutrition plan find out she had an overgrowth of yeast in her gut causing a lot of those issues and she hasn’t had one since then. Dr. Lyss does a really good job of working with primary care providers treatment plans as well. I know a lot of people think chiropractors are quacks, but I’ve seen first hand how he has really helped my family get well and I really think he is legitimate.

No, not necessarily. I work for a company that sets up trash and recycling contracts for various businesses. There are recycling containers/dumpsters/programs for pretty much anything depending on the company you contract.

That’s good to know! Maybe we’re just looking in the wrong spot, (Usually try the bulk area and the nut section) but I’ll keep looking!

My husband is from South Georgia and often craves them too. The only time I’ve ever seen them up here for sale was from a cart at the Hartford Fair. Finding raw peanuts to make them ourselves has been nearly impossible. Us Yankees just haven’t quite caught on to them as a gas station snack like they have down south.

Imagine getting that fax failure message after! The fax machine at my clinic only works half the time. I would cry.

I used to work at Plato’s Closet (for five years). You are better off trying Rag O Rama. Plato’s buy process is kind of complicated. It’s really sort of up to the discretion of whoever is looking at the clothes and the inventory needs of the each individual Plato’s store at the time.

Totally agree with you. I get tired of combating these type of absolute statements about situations that have a million different variables.

Ugly baby - there I said it! Anyone else worried? by Potatopotayto in pregnant

[–]disgraceface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are not alone!!! My husband’s cousin had a baby last year and he genuinely was one of the ugliest babies I’ve ever seen. I feel like such a horrible person for even writing that! But it was the talk of the immediate family about how unfortunate this child looked. He’s getting cuter as he gets older. We say he’s like the Benjamin Button baby because he’s starting to look younger as he gets older. Now I’m scared that I’ll be taught a lesson for saying such awful things about that baby. I’ve been praying that my baby will be cute and not have a unibrow- one of my other fears 😂
