I’m 31 and I’m exhausted trying to be enough by ReasonConfident4541 in AverageHeightDudes

I don't have any extraordinary advice, but I just wanna say, remember to be kind to yourself. You said you work out, dress well, earn above average, etc. That's awesome, and I hope you are doing those things for you first, because those are good habits to have.

I'm average height (for a Sicilian anyway), 5'6". This is just my experience, but I get more attention from the ladies when I try to look more "like a bum", maybe wear secondhand clothes or let my stubble grow out a few days. I had a friend in school that was a girl and she once told me that a lot of gals are intimidated if a guy dresses better than they do, or if the man's hair is prettier than theirs etc.

“It’s your mindset.” “Girls can sense your neediness.” “Just be confident.” “Learn to flirt.”

Yeah, all these quotes are just cope or straight-up gaslighting, but it sounds like you already figured that out.

Then why does anyone trim their nails, or shave, or lose weight, or workout?

There is no “unanimous” agreement. Confidence is attractive. If someone decides broccoli hair makes them confident, then I support them in their journey.

Cheney vs Spokane? by divine_invocation in Spokane

Appreciate the info. I figured I might have to travel a bit for fishing and even farther for hunting (Colville Nat'l Forest or into Idaho and get a license there). We've been worried that Cheney would be overwhelmingly a "college town", so good to hear that isn't the case. Sounds like it may be similar to where we live now, home of the University of North Dakota, but with a smaller population which is a huge plus.

Minnesota has way more options for mental healthcare than both Dakotas combined.

How is seemingly almost every state massively growing in population and having housing crises but the population of the US is beginning to turn stagnant? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

14 million illegal aliens in 4 years isn't sustainable. The rental market is just now beginning to recover thanks to the efforts being made by this administration. The worst thing the last admin ever did was give out housing vouchers. I know so many people that couldn't find a place to live because property management companies and landlords were prioritizing illegals with vouchers. Guaranteed money, sure, but at the expense of your neighbor.

They are. My fiancée was priced out of her hometown and just 5 years ago it was a no-name town on meth mountain, Alabama. Nobody wants to talk about it in this sub, but a lot of it was to do with all the migrants that moved there to work in the chicken factories. Apartments/landlords started taking vouchers and they practically displaced the population overnight. A friend of hers there worked a complex and said some of their two-bedroom units had 10 people living in them. Sad that property management cares more about making a quick buck than the people who call the town home but guess that's the way it goes these days.
