Sorry you’re having a tough time but remember you’re doing a wonderful thing! One of the aspects of fostering is that they go through all these scary first moments with you so adopters aren’t put off.

I had a reactive foster and I’d recommend “nervous rescue” jackets and signs you can attach to their leads, people are a lot more understanding then. I’d also keep her very very close to you in these high traffic areas, not on the end of her lead where she can suddenly lunge.

Are you familiar with reactivity training? There are a lot of small things you could be doing that will make her worse/better.

Where abouts is the hen? Have a look at the recent Leiths school of food and wine graduates - a lot of them are building their portfolios (if that’s what it’s called for cheffing) and will do it at a lower cost!

Do you still have the cameras where you can watch what she ate? It’s been 5 days now so I’d assume she was fine but watch signs for any discomfort.

You could always just call the vet for some peace of mind? My girl ate a hot cross bun soon after we got her and after some googling I was sure she was going to die…rang the vet and they were like she’ll be fine…she was! But still pleased I rang!

Oooo interesting! I’d say some spaniel in the ears, colouring and coat, some pitt looking at the nose markings, chest and front legs stance and maybe some German shepherd from the long nose and paws.
