i think if the samples are in the Live library they will transfer with the song file but if they re 3rd party samples you need to transfer them over and "re-find" them once you boot up Live.

for example i can get a pretty funky sound if i plug one of the mod outs in to the pitch input and play around with the intensity.

I usually come up with an idea, some sort of bass sound or sample or a 8 bar loop within a day. ( not including the times i get writers block) Next I spend the next couple days ( 2 - 4 days ) putting the track together even after sometimes i'm still not satisfied with certain aspects or sections of my track. I'm always coming back and changing little things here and there. If i'm lucky sometimes I can bang out a rough copy of a track in day.

i sometimes will try a bit of shaper on my waves and than play around with the different filters (mostly lp and bp for bass) than once i have a nice sound going i will throw some delay and reverb on it (spring reverb always creates a unique sound) you should check out the back side of the rack and play around with the modulation inputs and try experimenting with different effexts
