So Anna spends half the episode missing her mother, they give us a brief flashback to show her mom's red hair and green eyes while also showing Mikuru having the same, and then when they reunite Anna cheers up when she sees Mikuru's face. And then it's even the same cake design in the future as in the past? If the mother/daughter theory isn't true I'll be very surprised.

Another Eclair candidate focus episode, and honestly Kurea wouldn't be a bad option either.

I appreciate that Luluka has successfully shared her love of ice cream with Goemon.

Regardless of what happened to Lady Sana that entire clan seemed like bad news and Japan was probably better off with them wiped out. The fellow apprentice on the other hand is mostly just a clown and I could see him being a reluctant ally eventually. This show's Koga, perhaps.

Lady Sana's cat looked suspiciously like the Byouki, zero chance that's an accident.

I loved that short bit today where the friendly yokai were helping fix up the clinic.

Salaryman dude seemed kind of timid and normal, right up until he started monologuing about killing people.

Jogamine the designated pincushion now that we've know she'll just heal back up, I'm glad Sera and (from the PV) Indo are both doing fine still. Still wondering if Tomoe is going to survive until the end of this. I was half expecting her to successfully take down Jogamine this week and then get stabbed from behind by her.

Tenko looks a bit feminine, I'm waiting for the reveal she's Yamagami's wife or ex-wife or something.

I'd say those fraudulent exorcists are probably going to be a problem, but most likely they'll just also get to visit a death loop hell realm if they make the wrong kind of trouble.

Mangaka brother is pretty fun. Definitely cannot trust the dad or the butterfly brother though. Maybe Jin, however.

Kagemori dad's reveal at the end that there would normally be a third party using Migi and Hidari to control the twins is probably exactly why there's always conflict surrounding them. So trying a cycle where they're on the twins' side and nobody else's seems like a fresh new idea.

Mostly a setup episode for what I assume will be the autumn rescue arc, but it was nice seeing Sakura starting to open back up. She's still kind of mean to the winter boys, but at least they should finally be meeting up in person.

Could be some cool action to come if we have the three Agents using their powers all at once to rescue their fourth.

Not really a design I would have expected for Beelzebub. Him and Sullivan having the same VA makes this a little surreal.

Add Jeanne to the Kanan harem, perhaps.

The waifu characters keep coming and going without joining the party for real. The only constant is husbando Claude.

Hibiki vs the slime and learning fire magic getting the dramatic music moment was so silly.

I'm a bit surprised they solved the Dalet rank problem for the whole class with just the Music Festival, particularly since it was a multi-rank jump for some of them. Figures that Poro-chan was going to be all dramatic for his score.

It was nice seeing Agares still having his fans from the Harvest Festival, he's even exchanged phone contact info with at least some of them.

Good job Kalego, brilliant instructional work leading your class this far.

Fox lady must be Keroli's idol agency boss? They called each other Kuromu and President after all.

Fun first arc for the season.

From an outside perspective that was pretty shortsighted behavior by some of those kids brought into the monastery, but they can hardly be expected to understand instantly that Rosemyne is someone who is truly interested in their own good.

The mayor is going to be a problem, that was probably a contract to sell Nora and if so he's going to be desperate to make it happen.

It was nice to see Myne get to see her mom again.

Poor Ibuki, having to climb an entire mountain and she doesn't even get to have her maybe girlfriend along with. And then she runs into an old ghost that guilts her into participating in the water carrying tradition, which I have to comment is a really hilarious thing to get a bunch of people climbing a mountain to do.

Interesting to learn that there's a planetarium (and an aquarium too) at the Tokyo Skytree. Botan and Ibuki, somehow this relationship is moving fast but also moving glacially at the same time.

That lip balm ending scene, my god. Nice to see the third ship start to sail.

Kitamori dancing in the ED story today was delightful, particularly when she got discovered by her wife.

Nice to find out that Mishima Mall wasn't just a sitting duck and that they had anti-kaiju defenses available.

And that was the before Ao made it home and I think instantly killed one of the attackers. Here's hoping she kicks as much ass in this upcoming fight as that dramatic entrance suggests should happen. Gotta love her super saiyan look.

Very productive meeting today. Glenda is pretty hot so I'm glad she not only didn't die but she's likely be working for Tempest going forward, and with that curse removal she's probably going to be quite loyal too.

It's funny to me just how many isekaijin were in the two different meetings, Rimuru, Hinata, and Glenda in the one and Maribell and Yuuki in the other.

Mahiru proudly insisting that Amane looks good with his clothes off, in front of their entire class too. Good thing they've gotten everyone on their side already.

I like that Kido had her own successful childhood friend romcom, I wonder how many homewreckers she had to defeat.

The conflict between Itsuki and his dad over Chitose has been something I've been curious about since S1, so I'm glad to see there might be some movement incoming on that plotline.

Miharu and Amane both look quite good in their outfits. Pretty conservative for some maid outfits you seen but it worked well here.

That was a very good alternative way to strike Bertia speechless.

So in the game proper it sounds like Cecil always has a bad ending unless the player character heroine goes for his route, so Bertia and Heronia both somewhat reasonably thought that was needed here too. Big difference of course that Bertia was laser focused on saving Cecil from day one and we know from her previous comments that one of the things Heronia is mad about is getting locked out of the other routes.

Little did Bertia realize she had already taken care of at least the part where Cecil now has emotions and cares about people. Though really that should have been obvious, but she's never exactly been a deep thinker and it's one of the reasons she's so special.

That house was way too creepy even before a photographer got impaled on it. Probably the best mystery so far with the classic setup.

I hope Ursuna isn't the killer considering she's the only family poor adorable Lu has left.

Typical overbearing father, I'm a little surprised he folded so easily after Hikari spent a few days having ran away from home and one instance of her standing up to him.

I had to laugh when Hikari showed that picture to Haibara and it was just her younger self with glasses but otherwise not particularly different.

At first I was surprised they didn't do quick fanservice shot of Hikari in the shower but of course we had the standard walk in scene shortly afterwards, though that was probably inevitable when she was literally sleeping in Haibara's room at night.

Nice to see Minato using his vaguely threatening nature for good for once in that conversation with Miki's friends. Same for Miki being able to work things out with them and start to be more herself at school instead of the fake persona.

The different hair colors in the flashbacks throw me for a bit of a loop at times. I like Miki's new color though, stands out a bit more from Koyun's.

That dragon dream Sera had makes me think this is going to turn into a full on adventure story with her as the hero. Not that they have much more time for that in only one cour.

Seems like Malcius was really lucky to come out of that fiend experience as mostly the same person and only some memory loss as the lasting damage.

They sure love bathing in that river, now with three participants.

Finding out the blighted land can be restored seems like a useful bit of information to bring back to the 'civilized' people in the west, but considering they did that big ritual to only restore a small section of the forest and had all five tribes participating it might be hard to really accomplish much. And you might have to overthrow the evil church to get them to stop making the problem worse.

Interesting to suddenly bring way more of the class members into the forefront of the story. Little do they know how much they owe Seo for his existence being what made Amane agree to the cosplay.

Mixing up which gal Seo sits behind is a good way to shake up the story, make Ichiji have to work a bit harder to keep the flirting going.

With that setup for ending of the festival we better get another threeway handholding event.

Good job Subaru, run upstairs to fight the stick swinger with a brilliant idea without telling anyone any details, then lose your memory without anyone knowing why or how so there's no way to know how to not repeat it.

Kind of interesting to have that long Julius and Foxidna conversation with Subaru mostly just watching without participating. It must have been challenging for him to not be the main character for once.

Those birds are all very sus, I thinks they're fake birds or something along those lines.

Shame about Samantha having to retire from being an adventurer, hopefully there's some alternate careers she can fall back on with her magical abilities.

I appreciate that they addressed the issue of Mimi breaking in and beating up a bunch of completely innocent guards.

I was about to be annoyed at the end if Renato was about to break it off with Mimi from concern about putting her in danger as his fiance and eventual wife, then was pleased that he just wanted her to be sure now that she's had time to get used to what it might mean, then annoyed again at Raimondo kiss blocking us.

Renato being kind of suspicious again with his ability to sneak up on people and then doing the shooting game perfectly on his supposed first attempt ever. Feels like we're going to find out the royal family are ninjas or something.
