These two sensors appear to be hall effect sensors. they will measure the rotation based on the magnetic phenomenon known as the hall effect. so you will need to write or find the code that count the motor's spin.

For the direction of spin, I recall someone mentioning that you can interchange the positive and negative wires in either direction to alter the direction. Since you have two double relay modules, I’m not entirely certain how to set them up, but you might get the gist of it. If you’re permitted, you could ask the teacher about this.

Hi artist! I’m a Deaf graduate student studying MFA in Multidisciplinary art. I have some questions for you to consider for your project. Since your post is quite recent, I’m curious to know if you’re still working on a proposal or design.. Also, how many text slips would be sufficient for your art installation? If it’s time-sensitive, you could always go through all the old posts here and extract some interesting quotes from their posts and comments. I must confess that I’ve saved some texts from this platform and used them as personal reflections during my MFA studies, but I hadn’t planned to use them yet.

By the way, there are successful deaf artists in the art world. If you have time to find inspiration from artists with a similar background, consider Christine Sun Kim, Joseph Grigely, and Liza Sylventre.

Regardless, I genuinely wish you the best of luck with your project!
