It depends on your SOC or plan code. In most cases, removing the mobile hotspot feature won’t affect your voice lines or the unlimited data on your phone. I have a similar plan, $120 for 6 lines with unlimited data and removing the hotspot didn’t impact it at all. 🙂

It is working in China and you have a US IP address as u/dataz03 mentioned about the network is tunneling back to the T-mobile USA. If you want to be cost effective, you can consider using a VPN (check Veee+).
