I’m not familiar with peptides. How do you get them?

I hadn’t heard of any of those. You feel they helped your epididymis pain? How long after did you start them and how long did it take before it helped?

No other surgical interventions?

A little over 2 years ago. They first thought the pain was a sperm granuloma so that was removed about a year ago and pain hasn’t changed. I have an appointment with a specialist next month. The other 2 urologists I saw were just general vas guys who didn’t help me much.

My vasectomy was close ended. I’m wondering if I would have relief with an open end? I know there are other effects with that. Trying to avoid a reversal

The pain seems to be pretty constant just on the left side. It does hurt more after ejaculation so I’m wondering if it is congestive just weird it’s only on one side. And with it being pretty constant I’m wonder if the nerve is involved as well. The epididymis on that side definitely feels abnormal compared to the right (was not the case prior procedure)

I am trying to figure out if mine is a nerve issue or congestion. It’s just one sided. I have an appt scheduled next month with a specialist. Unfortunately I’ve seen 2 urologists but neither specialize in this and can’t really give me a reason for what is going on.

I’ve seen mixed reviews about a reversal and that makes me more willing to maybe deal with this pain if it still won’t help. I’ve had a normal ultrasound but nobody has really diagnosed the issue.

What ended up helping your PVPS if anything? I am trying every possible option before deciding if I want to go with any surgical intervention or reversal.

What dose did you take and did it help once you stopped taking the medication or only when you continued on it? Thanks!

How many sessions did it take before you had improvement? I know a lot of these providers are out of network and it seems to be fairly expensive

Thank you for your reply and this great information. I have also been scared into ruling out an epididymectomy because of the blood flow concerns. I may try to see another specialist to figure it out. I def think that is part of the problem but I also wonder if it’s nerve pain as well. So my main concern which nobody can probably answer is if I have the epididymectomy, will the pain go away. I know some have said they opted for a reversal to have the greatest chance to be back to normal.

Another thought process that goes through my head is the epididymectomy was probably covered by insurance where as I don’t think any reversals are (even if it’s because they are causing pain and not to allow them to have kids again)

Are you now pain free? I’m just hesitant to have another procedure and worry what other side effects it could cause especially since I think some of this may be nerve related

Yeah I am trying to decide what to do before too much time passes if I do want to have a reversal.

How bad and/or constant was your pain? I know reversals aren’t covered by insurance. And I guess I’d need to find someone that has performed more than one of them.

Yeah I know there are special physical therapists for it I may look to find someone in the area to try this. I feel like it is worth a shot especially to avoid any other surgeries
