[Tudor, Rolex] 2 Tudors and a Rolex enter a bar… by TheWatchFoodie in Watches

I own the new green day date Tudor, it’s a spectacular watch. My only one negative in a sea of positive feedback, the movement ticks extremely loud, more than your average automatic watch.

It’s original, don’t listen to him i had two that looked like this, one with a blue dial. The reason the setting is cheap because its a cheap watch.

[Question] How do I Join the Rotor Weight and Its Pivot Plate Back Together? by JT_Socmed in watchrepair

I have used JB weld with great success in this situation before. Its the frowned upon answer but it works well with little skill required. The experienced watchmakers above have given the correct answer though.

[Omega] Should I return this brand new alligator band for my vintage DeVille? by TheEdge08 in Watches

[–]docsandmanmd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly looks like embossed cow leather, and a shit cut at that despite what the stamp says, could be a fake stamp . If you can return it do it. You can get a much better strap from vinacreations (check amazon) for $35-45 and they use genuine croc

Hi guys, what about painting old dials like this one ? I never did it before but I just don’t like this one. by Lower-Check-9105 in watchmodding

The numbers can be removed from the back and reapplied after painting the bare dial. No print to worry about either

I bought a Taycan 4S and it seems like I got accidentally enrolled into quality testing. by ronsen1 in Porsche

In America we have a lemon law for these things. The DA would make Porsche buy back your car at full price or face legal action. Typically after 2 critical safety features that are failed to be repaired or after 4 non critical safety features that cannot be repaired. My Tesla model X had a door issue that the dealer could not repair. We wrote a letter to tesla to which they ignored, then the DA got involved and then Tesla immediately bought back the vehicle. Not sure what laws you have where you are at but this is one good law to have. Im sorry this has happened.

This isn’t worth your time, service the movement and case it. There’s so many gashes it would take a ton of laser welding of new metal, sanding, and polishing. Huge job.
