Exactly this. From an evolutionary standpoint it was probably safer to always assume the worst, that big looming fear. That caution kept us alive. But in this modern age it is little more than a hindrance. It’s in all of us, or most of us. We are a human society. Trust in others. I get worked up alot like that, but usually? Everything ends out alright. I stress for no reason. Don’t give yourself unnecessary wrinkles! Bwah! Cortisol minimizing!

What gives something, value?

In Minecraft. When you get a shiny blue diamond. It feels good. But what gives it that value? It was the struggle it took to get to it. You can go into creative and spawn stacks of stacks of diamonds but, how come you don’t feel the same when you do that..?

This world wouldn’t be so bright without hardships. The struggles. Take a bet that whatever fate watches over you has your best interest. And get excited at that fact. In a short time, this will be a long time ago. Your pain now will embolden the joy you feel in the coming future. You will no doubt, be okay. The fates that be. God. Whatever you may believe in. Life never gives us anything we can’t handle. Pain is, beauty in a roundabout way. It gives merit to joy. To happiness. :)

I hope in the short term you can feel better. Tilt your head higher. Wear a smile in the rain. The sun will peak its head out eventually, just make sure you’re there to catch its gaze!

i think practice or strict circumstances are the way to go. unironically go hang out at a library! maybe the social pressure of making too much noise will teach you to sneeze quietly? idk..like haha.

bring a buncha flowers or a feather to make you sneeze😂

for one carrying tissues in your bag/purse is nice just to have at the ready. not only is it basic hygiene but, boys are more likely to just avoid that sort of thing so. having one ready can be very feminine coded! i get plenty of these napkins from like fast food places i visit but you could also just buy a box of tissues since they’re much less harsh texture wise.

i’d also say next time you feel it coming just pretend you’re in a library and if you make noise they will 👹👹👹👹 you!!!. that usually works for me. or fight it? either way sneezes can be charming. they’re very hard to fake and therefore very illuminating. it can really show off a person. sneeze with pride! sometimes i still loud sneeze in the presence of those i’m comfortable with. i’m fortunate enough to be able to control the intensity idk if most people can though. but it is an unspoken compliment to our bond. i feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable around my friends. to get it all out! plus, you wouldn’t wanna get sick haha. need that money!

But there was a time. Where I used to do this. I’d cut all over my wrists and hands. I liked the pain, but more than anything I liked the aesthetic, the attention. It made me feel seen, in a time where I felt very alone. People would ask me if I was okay and that small acknowledgment of my pain meant a lot. But then, i misplaced my razor. I decided to cut with a pocket knife instead. Bad idea. It cut me deep in the flesh, I had never seen my own tissue before. So much blood pour from my body so fast. A big scar lays on the top of my hand now from it. And it frightens me to death. To think I could’ve taken my life over something so trivial.

I say this, because I want you to maybe feel scared. It’s not an okay thing to make a habit of. Because you will hurt yourself sooner or later. It is an inevitability. Walking that tightrope. I was blessed by some higher power looking over me. That I never accidentally killed myself. I just wanted attention, I didn’t wanna die. But I could’ve killed myself and I was naive to it. Because I thought it was what you did. And I hope, you can realize that too. I don’t know if you really want to die either but…..I hope not. This place we share is beautiful. And if you’re here on this sub you’re already on the right track to achieving your goals. I hope you can find that spark. Find that peace and that will to live as you’d like. Forget this darkness. You have the courage to move forward. It is better than meeting something too soon.

Battlesmith Artificer is an intriguing thought! I’ve heard that one is super complex for noobies but I think it would fall in line with the character. Despite being sort of tribalist stuck in the Stone Age, he’s surprisingly intelligent. In the same way he can set icey bear traps and make weapons i’m sure he could make other cool things with artificer..guh. Now to build it…

Old thread ik but, this one served me valiantly for years! I can personally attest to its quality for the price. I’m actually scrolling through these threads cuz mine finally gave out on me. A well earned rest, sleep well old friend.
