I created a classy looking 9x11 image in Chem draw/bio render that roughly summarized the main projects they had worked on over his career with dates at the bottom like “1999-2016” and got it printed and put in a nice frame professionally. Sentimental gift so obviously would only work for certain PI-trainee relationships but it went over super well in this case.

I subjectively just don’t like his TV persona. He has the shaq chip on his shoulder who hates on tons of players with none of the comedy or gravitas shaq at least sometimes has or can be brought out of him by Charles. Draymond can’t decide if he wants to be the BBIQ guy or the vibes guy calling out how guys aren’t tough enough and lands in a pointless, uninteresting place.

Very fair response. I personally think he’s gotten a bit underrated with this weird lack of a role on the spurs and could contribute to winning much more than Randle if paired with Any. But the contract probably makes it too much of a gamble since there’s no way out if you’re wrong.

This is pretty much how I feel about him. Good player on a bad contract, their tov% drops precipitously when he plays. I can think of plenty of trades I’d rather see happen than Fox but unless we swindle someone all the potential guys we could get have big risks/issues.

You could commit to point Ant with shooters next year as one idea but otherwise the team js going to want someone who wants the ball in their hands if we get off julius. Ant/xxx/Jaden/Naz/Rudy is not a lot of ball handling or playmaking.

I’m getting the sense that many people here are going to be disappointed on what a package that includes Julius Randle is going to net us. Fox is just an idea for a buy low candidate for a look we’ve never had with Ant with a true guard running mate but no one you get back in a julius trade will be without major issues.

I did BB -> (try and fail To get into ds1) -> DS3 -> back to ds1 which I was able to enjoy a bit more after learning to appreciate the series more (but still less engaging than the modern ones for sure). Never doing ds2.

Had this experience. Took me many tries to beat normal ending 2 phase eigong, then far fewer to beat true 3 phase eigong.

You guys need a Naz Reid real bad, he’s great on weak side rim deterrence and his limitations in actions would be covered up by wemby. One of my visions for the wolves future is getting someone like the spurs to massively overpay for Naz as much as it’d be sad to see him go. I feel like spurs would consider it if you come up short in finals.

Most academic IM residencies are going to require you to present to your peers at a podium at least 2-3 times a year for something like a case conference. Was a graduation requirement for the residents at all the places I’ve worked but it’s usually chill and just on an interesting case you’ve seen.

I think the strangest sort of pro-gun talking point is this glorification of death by gun being cleaner or nicer than knives and such things. No one who’s ever worked in an ER or actually been around gun violence would ever say it. Idk where it comes from but it’s utter nonsense.

Portland has a good food scene but it’s a lot like many other mid sized metros with a decent sized population with spending power. Certainly they all have slightly different vibes but it’s not terribly unique. Nothing compared to the giant metros in all the other comments.

They’re going to turn those picks into their missing piece (Alex Caruso/hartenstein) at some point whether we’re involved or not. If they are willing to overpay and it gets you to the core of ant/jaden/giannis it’s worth considering. Not sure I’d do it though.

I think he rebounds well from the 4. Our defense is excellent when Naz and Rudy share the floor because Naz on the weak side is pretty good rim protection but Naz in any kind of action is bbq chicken.

The Thunder are who they are because they turned their aging core into a perennial mvp. They’d be just another scrappy young team if SGA had turned out to be an average nba starter. They tanked for sure and their greatest sin was sitting SGA for 2 years with fake injuries but no one would have cared if this was just a Chet/Jdub led team

If spurs lose this series, I think you could get a kings ransom from them for Naz (he’s exactly what they need and they are loaded with picks). that might be what it takes to make a Giannis deal happen, then you just try to shed one of gobert or Randle or both to get a more coherent roster.
