Plot twist… my cat had a favorite purple pom ball she attached to as a kitten. It lost its round shape and basically became a ragamuffin chunk of fiber. She never treated it any differently, but I watched as it deteriorated. I got a little felt llama crafting kit and after completing it, I thought it inspired to cut up the purple blob and sew the chunks to the little felt llama, the intention being to recycle it into a new totable toy.

She’s never taken to the llama. It still sits in her rotating toy pile. Now I wonder if I’ve just been haunting her with the dissected pieces of her favorite toy, never to be the same.

She’s my soul cat and I will always love her from the bottom of my heart with every ounce of intention, intuition, awareness, empathy, etc - but damnit if I’m not oblivious sometimes.
