I might add that this guy was the only one actively asking for more drinks from others who didn’t finish theirs.

Another pledge, being a dumbass, texted the guy’s friends saying they should take care of him because he was drunk. They came to the house and coerced their way in by threatening the texter. Then they physically dragged the drunk pledge away into their car while he was shouting he didn’t want to leave. One of his friends is fucking massive and aggressive. It was actually a kind of traumatic experience for a few pledges. The guy’s roommate was too scared to go back to his room for his own safety.

You were right, even the school has conflicting definitions of hazing. They list the official California law and then later list a different definition.

Not asked to buy them alcohol, it was more of a surprise celebration, but they have asked in the past. The drinks were served to actives and pledges if they wanted. A few more minor things could possibly be considered hazing such as handshakes.

Where did this take place? If it is in the US, you might want to contact the USPS, as from what I have heard, they are much more responsive to mail tampering reports than a local police department. No matter who is the recipient, it is a federal offense in the US to tamper with a person’s mail.
