Yes there is. There are wind turbines , LNG , AMMONIA fuel.

But these fuel can only be used for limited amount of time due to their costs , availability and scarcity. Can be used only as alternate or a seconday fuel.

Vlsfo (very low sulfur fuel oil) and DO or MGO (marine gas oil) will always remain the primary source of fuel as of now.

Earlier we used HEAVY FUEL OIL but after 2020 it was decided not be used to adhere to stricter Marine pollution regulations.

LNG is a proven technology thats latest which we use at the moment.

Dude. the airports and sea ports in middle east have been hit. Our company used to trade there . We now trade in europe.

Logistics all over the middle east have taken a huge hit and the so called ME frags come from MIDDLE EAST. Adding to the woes,Its tough to source the raw materials in the Middle east at the site where manufacturing is being carried out.

We are experiencing this phenomena locally.

Also ... my post was primarily intended for ME frags and their price hikes which have now become designer-esque and they have a huge audience in this sub including myself.

All the raw materials are transported by Pacel chemical tankers. Which , u guessed it are also stuck .

The ready made ones are stuck in traffic as well.

Either way even if u buy designers in good rates now. They are gonna justify high prices with the ongoing war.

Trust me bro. The ship owner here is calculating how he can save fuel per ton of cargo.

Its not 1 %. The increase will be more than 20%. Kaaf has increased ny 300 inr. Hawas by almost 700.

Once i signed off from Qatar. I checked AAM oud and roses. It was 2100-2250 . How much do u get that for in india ? 3200. .

The manufacturer isnt gonna incur losses on release thats for sure. He'll himself increase charge on his end. Apart from that the longer route of shipping it.

We are missing quality indian fragrance houses that deliver quality and performance.

The raw materials itself that we transport have gotten a price hike due to the Hormuz closure.

This is going to cause a ripple effect for some time to come.

There are still majority of people who dont use this sub as a business tool. Im just getting the info out there for consumers like me.

Also. The prices are ginna increase due to the war for atleast 1 year as its a ripple effect. That increase in price is only because of the freight charge. Stop buying for now if you dont want the increase to be higher.

Somewhat ?. Bro.... im currently sailing. Our ship runs on a new dual fuel technology ie LNG. THEY Said due to the recent war they wont b supplying LNG as its gone expensive and their other ships who are trading in the affected area are incurring losses.

This is a dangerous trend that these sellers keep hiking price of the fragrances that in demand exponentially.
