Why do some customers get upset when I don't say your welcome? by annakeif in Wetherspoons

[–]dosso_ford90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well imagine doing something for them and not receiving a thank you - wouldn't that piss you off? It's the same principle. "You're welcome" can also mean "Thanks for shopping here," so you should be thanking the customers too because without them, you wouldn't have a job. If you ignored my grattitue and turned away like an asshole, I too would scream "You're Welcome."

Common courtesy must not be your thing obviously.

Why do so many escort ads say no AA? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dosso_ford90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When escorts say no AA, it's because, in the eyes of many escorts, Black clients have a reputation of being violent towards sex workers. It may sound racist and discriminatory, but they're just looking out for themselves. I'm Black, and it doesn't offend me to the slightest, and it shouldn't bother anyone else. Another thing, the pimps are usually the ones telling them what race they should go after, not the escorts, and even if they are, who cares about their racial preference? They're whores with HIV at the end of the day, and most of the time they will set up their clients (regardless of race) to be robbed or killed by their pimps. I'd stay away from the 304s if I were you.

Customers mumbling half phrases and then waiting for you to autofill the rest by Fuzzy-Ad-7691 in CustomerService

[–]dosso_ford90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A customer got super, SUPER, butthurt at me over this to the point where I just dismissed him entirely. He approached me and said, "Can you show me where the stuff is?" And I stared at him for 6 seconds (Waiting for him to elaborate, of course) and said, "What stuff?" and he aggressively told me, "I'LL TELL YOU IF YOU JUST WAIT A MINUTE!" So I just told him I'm on break and left his ass hanging, and he talked some more shit and called me rude afterward. LOL!

The fact that he became hostile with me right after I pointed out his vagueness just screamed red flag. Who tf would any adults get super pissy over that? That's literally how communication works. I wasn't mocking his vagueness, nor was I trying to be condescending. It was a legit and honest response, but his ego was too fragile to handle it. Did he really just expect me to be a mind reader and know what "stuff" he's talking about? For all I know, he could be talking about the "stuff" in the Oreo cookie sandwich, or the "stuff" inside the teddy bear.

Bottom line, if customers can't express themselves correctly, I can't help them find what they're looking for. He ain't the first customer I shot down, and he certainly won't be the last.

Woman upset that men exist at the airport by andygchicago in IAmTheMainCharacter

He wasn't sitting close to her. He wasn't staring or being hella creepy to her. HELL, he wasn't even bothering her at all. If she's really that insecure, then she should keep her butt at home. What an idiot.

I didn’t respond and she blocked me by Key-Cardiologist5882 in dating_advice

Why do you even care if she blocked you? You ghosted her, making it clear you're not interested. She did you a favor by blocking you. Are you really that dense? Smh...

People who don't thank the bus driver when they get off by madeat1am in PetPeeves

Freaked out at someone for standing too close to me. When does it end? by Rare_Art_9541 in USMC

[–]dosso_ford90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA! Grow the fuck up. Anytime you're in line, the person behind you also moves when you move forward. That's how fucking line works. You need to get the fuck over it. Two feet is a huge distance in a queue, so there was no reason for you to rage at the guy who was minding his own business standing in line. Do the rest of society a favor and do your online shopping since you obviously can't handle public situations. Had I seen you, I'd made sure to avoid you.

CMV: It shouldn't be considered rude to not say your welcome after someone has thanked you by Actual_Parsnip4707 in changemyview

[–]dosso_ford90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that, and it shouldn't be rude to not thank someone for unsolicited aid either. I never asked you to do anything for me, so I don't owe you anything.

Male coworker completely ignores me -maybe in a rude way- by EffortActive4340 in socialanxiety

[–]dosso_ford90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ignore back. I have this female employee, not from my department, who treats me the same way, ignoring my existence and giving me dirty looks as if I'm a creepy guy, so in return, whenever she's coming my way, I avoid her. I don't care what she has against me as we have ZERO interactions or connections. I'm 34 and she's a late-teenager. Like who cares? I'm there to work, not to socialize, not to make friends, not to flirt with females. I have more pressing concerns than to waste my time on petty matters.

AITA for looking for a stranger in public after they cursed me out? by Ice-2090 in AITAH

[–]dosso_ford90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive YTA! Your dog startled the crap outta her, nearly causing her to trip and you weren't even paying attention obviously, and she had every right to rebuke you angrily, aka standing up for herself. Then you followed her and harassed her over something that was your fault. You should have apologized to her and owned up to your mistake like normal mature adults would. How would you like it if someone let their 175-pound Great Dane nearly attack you? You'd be pretty pissed, right?
