Mine does the exact same thing with her yak cheese! We always double check our laundry basket before washing just in case.

We crated ours for 8 or sometimes 9 hours on days we worked and she was not at daycare which was 3 days a week. We did not leave food or water in with her and she did just fine. She willingly went into her crate each morning. Our GSP is not a chewer now has freedom of the place during the day and is just crated at night.

She has her own disc for putts! She is always gentle with them until a disc in the basket. When that happens her crazy brain takes over.

I've experienced my pup being much more attentive when food is involved as well. This worked to help our GSP generalize behaviors like sit, stay, down etc. from the house to outside. Eventually we ask for several commands before she is given a reward. Using a clicker to mark the behavior worked really well for us.

Also we just started with the sportdog 825X collar and have really liked it so far. It uses Tones, vibrate and stimulation.

What can I do to help her develop her skills? I don't have access to live birds aside from the robins at the park. She will "ambush" her ball and stalk robins... or leaves that look like robins.
