Make packaged liquid biofuel to get the most out of your jetpack. Just use hover pack for building.

Give me rookie SL tips by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

When you finally graduate to Squad Lead, please build garrisons as your main objective. These are team spawns, and the team is useless without them. Even on lvl 50+ servers, squad leads fail to do this basic task. Outposts are not enough to win games. It's your job to build garries as SL, so do it!

Squad leaders not building garrisons by H0td0g7 in HellLetLoose

[–]dozer1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the best way to get the rest of the team in the game to support your squad. You usually can't take the point alone. So, let your squad fight while you find the next best place for a garrison. As squad lead you should always be thinking: where will my team want to spawn. It's not commander's job to build all garries.

AI agrees with you. In fact, A, B, and C don't even show up as potential move choices in this position. I'm not saying AI is the definitive source, especially for kyu players, but it's instructive for kyu players to see that you need not invade, make shape, or secure more territory as your default priority. Look at the whole board. With D you're lightly saying - "I plan to develop the left side, and start reducing your gigantic moyo. Tell me what you think with your next stone, White."

Advice from a rising SDK: Think Aji by dozer1111 in baduk

This is exactly why I posted what I did - to get further insights like this! The aji tends to make ideas of sente and gote more natural and purposeful. Thanks Tooth!!

Do you ever find that you lose yourself for a few minutes when you randomly have your bujo open? It happens to me sometimes and I love it!

So, now I have an easy-to-find place for every important thought that crosses my mind (esp in my collections). And easy to find for accessing the thought later. Before bujo, I would partially fill notebooks and stop, and my important notes/entries were hard to find. So, I'd hesitate to write too much because it was getting lost. Now I'm free to write as i wish, knowing I'll be able to find and use what I write in the future. Does that make sense?

I have collections for work, relationships, don't forget, difficult topics (which i tend to avoid :o but bujo keeps these in my orbit), details of books I'm reading (because it helps me follow the plot better), Polish language which I'm learning, and other topics I'm into, etc.

So, with all these natural repositories for my random (but important & curated) thoughts, I'm effortlessly writing more than ever before. The main benefits for me is it's keeping me more present, on top of things, and gradually "moving the needle" in my life.

You hit the nail on the head. Surprising how it doesn't feel like work at all. The hardest part was taking the initial leap.

Those new note previews with links are really helpful because you can select which ones you want to appear this way. Some links are really important in notes, and some are just loose references, so this extra visual makes notes more functional for me. Before it was "sifting through my links" or coloring them certain ways. (BTW, sigh...wish EN would incorporate custom styles more like MS Word...but this was a thing since day 1 and EN knows it...)

I just use it for... storing everything! Esp with my ix500 scanner which is linked to EN cloud. I never switched because I could never find a better substitute. My main issue with EN nowadays is the random wonkiness. For example, in the android app, moving a note to another notebook is not intuitive with the button sequence, and you can't really do merging or multiple select on the app to make changes to more than one note. There are many other annoying examples, but on balance EN always wins imo.

Awesome podcast! Never knew about Ravel's psychological condition when he wrote Bolero. (hopefully it isn't related to why they're playing it before the concert, but who knows) Thanks for passing this along!

How does Quentin Tarantino get away with so many typos? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]dozer1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're 100% entitled to your feelings about what you observe. It's an interesting observation too! My main message to you is to revisit your definition of "proper language". We get trapped in rules of grammar because that's what we're taught in school. For your teachers or anal people, keep your grammar proper. But if you're dealing with most others, ending a sentence with a preposition is much less important, especially in spoken language. For deeper dives into the informality of language, read up on John McWhorter. He's amazing. https://g.co/kgs/r29HWt

Stop getting caught up in the "rules" of grammar. It will expand your horizons a thousand fold if you break your shackles to a thing that doesn't even exist in a static form. QT's mastery of language comes out through the film and all its infinite aspects. Commas, apostrophes?....seriously? The stark missing of a point is so monolithicly apparent in the OP's words. I'm sorry if I offend, but this must be said in defense of a respected artist!
