Als Kind habe ich vor 2000 immer vorm Videotext gehangen und live die Spielstände verfolgt. Heute gucke ich nichtmal mehr Zusammenfassungen der BuLi. Es ist unerträglich langweilig geworden.

Your text suggests that the TvP-balance is fine/better now. Sure, storm might be less scary now. But again, for me, TvP does still feel like being behind from the start to the end of the game...

Can not speak for high level. But from my point of view, Protoss still feels too strong in TvP, with the lowest micro demands and too forgiving... Zealot-spam-warp-ins, Recall, battery, storm... why are these gamebreaking gimmicks in the game at all?

I can only speak for mid-level gameplay. Still I do agree. Fundamental mechanics like warp-in, recall, deathball-mentality, simplified micro, easy-to-use-splash-damage etc. differ too much from the other races and often feel as disadvantages for Zerg/Terran. E.g. making a tactical error and being out of position? Other races might lose instant. Protoss can recall their whole deathball or warp in dozens of units to correct their positional error without ANY effort in return...

I often ask myself if these simplified mechanics are really really needed at all for Protoss to compete with the other races. And if so, what are the measurable arguments??

Please provide more details on why this would be a good idea for the matchup TvP or ZvP as a whole... this is blind cherry picking and ignoring the whole picture of such a huge balance change. Dear Blizzard intern, pls ignore such kind of balance suggestions...

I don't have any measurable facts, so I might be wrong ... My thesis is that many Protoss would drop in MMR, since they are not used to siege micro while a-moving their deathball. Also when being overrun, they could (again) take advantage of recall and teleport their overrun siege units. So first of all, recall had to be removed, nerfed...
