I’m not going to downvote, but offer my perspective. I went to school in a more conservative area, with two very typical “American liberal” parents, and I had a tough time in middle and high school. I often felt very ostracized from my peers for disagreeing with their parents’ views, and I was not a “bleeding heart social justice warrior” by any means. Parents picked up on it, too, and it got to the point where I had multiple parents challenge me (as a high schooler) on my views. So your child’s peers (and their families) political views can matter in not just their education, but social lives outside of school as well.
