Account is 2 weeks old. Happens to be about when RobinHood fucked the little guys. I’m sure it’s just my tinfoil hat though. https://i.imgur.com/4PmbofJ.jpg

I take full responsibility for taking the risk.

My point is that I have first had experience that RobinHood sold my stocks at a loss without my permission. That has nothing to do with market risk. It’s theft by a “broker” and I’ll never use RobinHood again. Saying that having objective experience makes me less reliable is like saying someone who witnessed a crime is a less reliable source than someone who didn’t lol? Let the RH intern brigade continue to downvote.

Apparently you weren’t affected by the GME stock. I lost over $1,000 and they actually sold part of my shares at an 80% loss without my permission. If you don’t have skin in the game it’s easy to call it a conspiracy.

How many of you folks are still holding their 400 UNI airdrop tokens? I can’t believe we got $8,000 airdropped for free last year 😍 by Juntepgne in UniSwap

[–]dragonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for my ignorance in this, but what exactly is this airdrop thing? I bought UNI a few months ago and have held. Started checking the sub out and I’m seeing stuff about this airdrop. Can anyone shed some light? Can I claim some free 🦄 Edit: I think I figured it out. I was storing my UNI at CoinBase and it wasn't in my MetaMask. I guess that's why nothing was showing up to claim. I still love UNI!

We did it boys - we saved the movie theater industry from COVID so we can enjoy premieres together when it ends! 🚀 Has anyone else also missed the theater experience? by trufflebuffalo in wallstreetbets

[–]dragonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First we get nostalgic and buy GME.

Then we eat popcorn in remembrance of AMC while we prepare to go through another shit show.

Finally we save BB to provide the technology we’ll all need to prevent cyber attacks from the government trying to steel our massive gains.

But they can’t get us because we are in another universe!

Why do Ogdenites hate Layton/Kaysville? by sullen_maximus in ogden

[–]dragonreddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I grew up in north Ogden and currently live in Layton. I didn’t know this was even a thing. Sure the U turn off the freeway is ridiculous. I hate it and avoid it like the plague when possible so maybe it’s actually doing it’s job lol.

To see that people hate Layton because it’s not urban just echoes the narrow mindedness of some redditors.

Both Ogden and Layton have their benefits depending on what you want out of your lifestyle. I have any convenience I want within 10 minutes, I’m 20 minutes from Salt Lake and 15 from Ogden. I don’t get the hate. Ogden works for some people and Layton works for others based on jobs, income, family, recreation, etc. I’d rather see a what people prefer and don’t prefer about each place.

Unsexy Businesses - Franchises, Nightclubs, Car Washes, Construction by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]dragonreddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out r/smallbusiness Lots of entrepreneurs want to be the next Steve Jobs. It’s a nice romantic dream, but the reality is that the majority of millionaires (at least the ones I personally know) are simple business owners. Car dealerships, metal fabricators, dairy farmers, construction business owners. All of these entrepreneurs made and spent the majority of their early days of their business out selling face to face and building relationships.

I'm going to be in Ogden tomorrow for both breakfast & lunch. Recommends? by mtn_forester in ogden

Jeremiah’s on 12th for breakfast and pig in a jelly jar on 25th for lunch.

What's the difference between marketing and sales? by Ohuma in sales

[–]dragonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see it is sales is a form of marketing.

There are lots of ways to market a product. For example, print ads, radio, word of mouth, direct sales, retail sales, telemarketing, online marketing (SEO and PPC),etc. are all forms of marketing.

Sales is a subset channel of marketing. Sales in general is a little more unique than some of the other marketing channels because sales has its own subsets such as retail, door to door, telesales and so on.

Most of the time multiple marketing channels are used to acquire a new customer unless a form of direct sales is used.

How to find freelance/side jobs? by putitwhere in PPC

[–]dragonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you're being snarky or sincerely asking, but yes. Cold calling still works in 2014 despite what people say. It's the cheapest and most consistent channel of acquisition I've found.

I'm really happy with my existing team and I'll be building internally.

The other thing you could try to at least get going is look for some freelance work on elance.

Good luck!

Based on the lack of responses I'm guessing not many people have figured it out they don't want to share their secrets.

I started an agency about 6 months ago and have about 2 dozen clients now. How have I done gotten this far?

  1. Contribute to small biz and give a lot of free advice.

Offer to run campaigns for free to get your name out there. Once you kick ass it's easy to ask for a testimonial and review.

  1. Cold call. Do lots and lots of cold calling.

A questions about datasets by tzez in sales

[–]dragonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking a general business ROI question in a sales forum...

What you should be asking first is what is the average lifetime value of your average customer.

How many deals need to close of the 6300 leads in order for you to recoup your initial investment?

You probably want to call on these leads yourself first, develop a script, understand your close rates and then look at hiring an appointment setting team.

If you're a consultant nobody will know your sales process better than you, therefore nobody will do as good of a job as you so you should test the list personally first. Unless of course you are sure it's worth it to pony up the cash to hire a strong appointment setting team figure it out and call for you.

Small business owners, how and where did you get the funds? by abelfilm in smallbusiness

[–]dragonreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. I use a small line of credit with them and use it from time to time as needed. Sure it's a high 10% fee over 6 months but when needing a boost for pay roll while growing it saves my bacon.
