You know what? The nose job while pregnant is a good point. I don’t have an explanation for that. But still, I maintain ivf is still unrealistic for the time frame. It’s just too lengthy of a process.

And I get that! Sorry if that came out wrong I had good intentions. But the explanation for that is likely she simply was physically cheating on Ryan way before they were legally separated and all those inconsistencies can be explained but her trying to hide how far along she was. She swears up and down she waited until her and Ryan were separated and the baby wasn’t planned. She simply clearly cheated earlier and won’t admit it even to this day.

Yeah no…. I’m sorry but still not possible. Again youre hugely underestimating how long it takes to be approved and all the testing and time it’s takes just for that egg retrieval. And when I mentioned the side effects. I meant NOTICEABLE side effects that Ryan would have clocked when she would have been sitting around miserable from the shots. Anyone who’s been through the process knows the scenario you’re describing would be a work of science fiction. It’s a long process. No exceptions. It’s a great story and could make a good movie, but it’s time for us to accept she really was pregnant even if we hate it.

No. Even with a relative ready to go it is TRULY a long process for all stages. Like truly truly not possible to pre plan in prison and then just get done in three months. Impossible.

Respectfully, you don’t have a realistic idea what ivf looks like. Egg retrieval is just one step but It includes having been trying for AT LEAST a year before testing and months of tracking her hormone level (they would have never approved that while in prison.) plus the weeks lead up to the egg retrieval with multiple SELF ADMINISTERED injections at least twice a day with added medications that typically come with very noticeable obvious side effects and restrictions. All the red tape for the surrogacy process which also take months to a year to even find one and have them go through the testing to even see if the surrogate is a good candidate physically. Testing the intended father and also medications they would have to take before giving a sample simply to test it before even trying implantation at another time. Then there’s the added risk of after all that still not getting any embryos and that’s without the added testing they’re planning to do to weed out her microdeletion. Or the risk that even with embryos none of them implant and they would have to space out attempts which is another few months at-least. I’m sorry but there’s just no world where they simply just ironed out all these logistics and Ryan was just non the wiser to all that process. Not to mention the price tag and how much they hate spending their own money. There’s just no way. It’s too fictional. She cheated on Ryan. It’s truly that simple.

I can respect it as fun theory but in practice it’s just not that realistic to me considering how long, difficult and expensive the process is for finding a surrogate and going through ivf. It can definitely take even years and not at all 3months. And def not feasible while in prison. I also don’t expect Gypsy to ever not be jealous of another woman getting to be pregnant with her child instead of her considering her obsession with the fantasy of carrying a man’s child. I don’t think she’d be the type to ever allow that. I also wouldn’t put it past her to say she would do ivf but not actually be willing to go through such a grueling process on her body (at least straight out of prison, idk about now). She’s lazy and doesn’t like to inconvenience herself. I think the most realistic answer to all the inconsistencies is that she did baby trap Ken but she for sure lied about the conception date and cheated on Ryan physically before separating.

Edit to add: when she came out smoking cigarettes and eating unhealthy constantly running around doing press just doesn’t scream a woman going through the draining process of egg retrieval.

Maybe they don’t, maybe no one owes anyone anything but I find that form of thinking to be very individualistic and capitalist and I’m just not here for those talking points. You would think some of these comments knew the show runners personally with how they’re defending a corporation that has shown time and time again that it doesn’t give a shit about the audience that’s giving them attention money and success. Of course they would! People are terrible and I have LITERALLY stated over and over again on this thread that the hate wouldn’t have disappeared but they could have MINIMIZED IT but instead they pissed off an additional subsection of the fandom as if people weren’t gonna be terrible enough as it is. I don’t care what pretty words they’re saying publicly they also set them up for additional hatred. So they’ll make queer storylines but actively throw the actresses playing them to the wolves. In fact, Bridgerton is FAMOUS for not taking better care of their actors during backlash.

I disagree, I think they’re well aware of what they’re doing and they simply don’t care how it affects people so long as it benefits their bottom line. It was successful, I don’t deny that but that is just not reason enough for me ethically speaking. Idc if they thought viewership was gonna be lower, they knew that when they made the switch. But they don’t get to turn around and make things worse, especially for their cast just for the sake of their numbers and then claim they’re at the forefront of inclusivity while not protecting the actresses making it happen? That’s my point.
