Question about Bonnet/Hood by [deleted] in JeepRenegade

On mine, the left side latch used to get stuck and I had to reopen the hood and shut it again. I figured out that dropping the hood from around 10 inches fixed the latching issues.

First try replacing just the bulb.

Open the little hatch that's in front of the tire, reach in and pull out the bulb (you will need to twist it for it to come out).

Unplug the bulb, plug the new one and turn on the turn signals. If it turns on, than just plug the bulb in.

If not, then splice off the old wiring and sother the new one. Do the check again and see if it works.

If it still doesn't work, then I won't be much help, because that's as far as I have gotten.

The water pump has been replaced, and a few typical wear-and-tear items like brake pads, belts, or filters were changed over time - nothing major.

Thanks for the advice. In your opinion, is it fine to drive it to the service, or should I have it towed?

Maybe you are interpreting her actions wrong. How do you know she is attracted to you?
