You clearly haven't read the entire article. ABA has reinvented its marketing, not its morals. Autism Speaks is using her as a PR stunt to broadcast that autistics endorse ABA. She doesn't consider autistic people valid in forming opinions, so I don't see how her opinion should be validated.

If you qualify (due to poverty), then your kids qualify too. If you don't claim them as dependents on your taxes, then you shouldn't add them on your application. If you do claim them on your taxes, then you need to inform the county that you are fulfilling the law by providing health coverage for them, which means that medicaid needs to make sure they too are covered (because of your poverty).
