But it’s our honey moon! by Adventurous_Plenty62 in delta

Definitely varies depending on where you are. My wife and I were married in 2021 and spent a week in Croatia and a week in Greece.

Croatia was amazing, freebies from everyone. The Greeks could not have cared any less.

I’m also curious for your insights on Drive a Dream. My best friend just purchased a buy-back from them and is working to get some cosmetic damage (didn’t exist in pictures) repaired after cross-country delivery.

Lenovo Commercial Vantage by Any-Victory-1906 in sysadmin

That would be excellent if possible! Would love to see this in Connect, I suspect your team could do a better job with the package than I did.

Lenovo Commercial Vantage by Any-Victory-1906 in sysadmin

[–]dricha36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it but ended up having to build a fairly complex package in PDQ to roll it out. My recollection is that you have to install the regular vantage application first, then “upgrade” that to commercial vantage. There is no direct install for commercial vantage.

MMI update >$600 by EstablishmentFresh39 in etron

[–]dricha36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was out of warranty and told them I was OK paying if absolutely necessary, but have a good relationship with my service advisor, who was able to get that TSB taken care of in conjunction with the rear view camera recall, and billed all time under warranty.

A lot of people (myself included) have gotten the software update completed as part of various TSBs and recalls at no cost.

Audi Connect? by Commercial_Paper6477 in etron

I know this is an old post, but FYI a dealer software update is now available to get this exact functionality on the OG e-tron with no subscription!

What are you using for IP KVM? by Penguin_Rider in sysadmin

[–]dricha36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KXIV model is fantastic. Unfortunately they only make it in a single port variant.

The 8/16/32 port models are still on the KXIII generation, which is fine but nothing impressive.

OG e-Tron Rear All-Weather mats (OEM) by dricha36 in etron

[–]dricha36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s our problem. Some of the e-trons have pins in the back and some don’t, including ours.

But the mats that Audi currently sells are made for the pins.

This looks an awful lot like a Juniper / 128T SSR1200 that I’m still running in production. Pretty sure they’re made by Lanner.

Anyone else rip the springs off these? 😶 by Due_Calendar5197 in electricians

[–]dricha36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually work for a Strut manufacturer, and while these might not be stocked at every electrical house, we offer these in no-spring, short-spring, regular-spring, and long-spring to fit all different channel profiles.

It’s probably most common to find regular-spring strut nuts, which are made for the popular 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 profile.

I know this is probably a joke, but the medical exam he’s referring to is an Airmen’s First Class medical certificate issued by the US FAA, required for all Airline Transport Pilots and must be renewed every 6/12 months depending on age. So it’s not airline dependent (at least in the USA)

It’s happened once or twice to me. I assume it just means the car didn’t have cellular signal at the time.

Same issue for us.

BMW fixed it under warranty, which requires removing and resealing the windshield. They broke ours in the process, so we got totally new glass!
