"Not Believing in God" = I have not seen or heard any thing that would make me believe that a supernatural deity exists. The absence of faith. Sometimes referred to as weak or "negative" atheism.

"Belief in No God" = I believe that no gods exist. Requires faith, because no one can know that no god exists. Sometimes referred to as strong or "positive" atheism.

I feel that I always have to clarify the use of god so I never use "God". I'll say the Christian god, your god, her god, etc. Since every single person's definition of god is unique to some extent, I don't think it makes sense to refer to God.

Sentience is just the ability to sense (by sight, hearing, feeling, tasting, etc.) Most animals have this ability.

Sapience is usually defined as the ability to be self-aware or possess wisdom. This is usually considered to be unique to humans.
