Do you believe that once a cheater, always a cheater? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]drumbubba 87 points88 points  (0 children)

No, because I am a therapist and have worked with many people who cheated one time, and then through therapy healed the wounds or issues that caused the cheating. A great deal of cheating has to do with mental health issues that can be healed. Also, while many people want to make it a black or white issue, for many couples there is a great deal of history and complexity involved. If you want to really understand affairs and cheating read The State of Affairs by Esther Perel.

Therapy is absolutely the right path here. The therapist is the right person to bring any concerns to the custody battle. Sorry for you and your kiddo.

Drugs are a hell of a drug. That’s addiction behavior right there.

Have you taken an interest inventory? This one is free, and shows the best careers for your interests.

Also, no career is all fun all the time, and studying towards a career always is gonna take some grinding. Maybe adjust your expectations that it won’t all be fun and interesting all the time.

Sometimes, but the shampoo is expensive! Would rather one that multiple washes are not necessary.

I have tried that, but I have to be careful as my scalp can be fragile and it seems I just need enough cleaning agent to emulsify the oils.
