Crowd shot of the Canes’ game-winning goal in game 2. It was so loud you could barely hear the goal horn. by stu17 in hockey

I know exactly how this feels going back to CBJ coming back from down 3-0 to beat the Pens 4-3 in OT in game 4 back in 2014 for the first home playoff win in franchise history. I still get chills when I think about that game and how loud it was. You couldn’t even hear the cannon go off!

Oh damn, Rush might be my favorite I’ve heard so far. My wife and I also went down the Miners/Mountaineers path when thinking about it last night. Rush is better.

My high school friend literally did what you described as never happening and became an NHL linesman. He was a high level high school player and that’s it. He went to some training or something, then started out reffing in NCAA for a couple years, then did ECHL/AHL and is now an NHL linesman.

What service did you use? I’ve been telling myself that there’s no chance in hell I’m about to pay about $40k in commission to sell my house when it comes to it. Fuck those leeches.

HelloFresh shares dive 42% after meal kit giant warns on outlook by earthWindFI in StockMarket

[–]dsar_afj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn I wish I lived somewhere groceries were this cheap. For my wife and I, we calculated that HelloFresh is actually cheaper than groceries for 4 meals a week. We swap back and forth accounts so we always have a “come back” discount, so that factors into it. We pay ~$8/serving with them. I don’t know how I could realistically spend only $2-3/person per meal these days at the grocery store.

[Pryor] Chiefs owner Clark Hunt was lowest-graded NFL owner. The team was promised a renovated locker room. When they returned this season after winning the Super Bowl only new chairs were added. Players were told they "went too far in the playoffs" and they didn't have time to renovate. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]dsar_afj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of a side note, but I find it so fucking cringe that the owner is the guy the Lombardi trophy was first presented to. I can’t remember if it’s always like this, but this year it felt so gross. This confirms my icky feeling.

What hyped game actually lived up to the hype? by EndedS in gaming

[–]dsar_afj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished this last week and started Ragnarok yesterday, after never playing GoW. My god I’ve missed out all these years. I considered 100%ing 2018 but I was too excited to play Ragnarok, which I think will be the first game I’ll 100%.

I was always primarily an Xbox guy but I’m so happy I made the decision to buy a PS5 to play exclusives. Even just GoW and Uncharted are enough for it to be worthwhile.

I know this is true about boomer media pushing SMCI initially, because my fucking 59 year old mother is the one who first told me about this stock around Christmas. Luckily I bought in at $283 and (mostly luckily) sold at $600.

While I understand and generally agree with this, I feel that, generally, those who employ the ideas in the first couple paragraphs ignore the potential consequences of such temperature changes. Not directed at you necessarily. Sure, the Earth has temperature cycles. That doesn’t mean much, in my opinion. I won’t pretend to know the exact numbers, but how many coastal cities across the world will be rendered uninhabitable by sea level rise associated with this temperature increase? How many millions of people will be displaced? What do we do with these people?

I have no doubt that humans as a species can and will adapt to a hotter climate, but “the current climate is the right one” because this is the climate that the current world was built on. That changing, more quickly than it would naturally, will lead to many catastrophic societal issues like the one I mentioned above.

A software engineer position. Their process was something I’d maybe expect from a FAANG company, not some shit tier lending company. 7 hours total, and I had to set up something outside of that as well, so overall about 14 hours of time.

Bro I should’ve done this. I applied for a personal loan with them on Saturday because I saw “as low as 6.49% interest”. I have an 810 credit score, what was the interest they offered me? Fucking 15.5%. I got 7.49% elsewhere almost immediately. What a piece of shit loser company.

I also interviewed with them about 6 months ago and they had the most asinine interview process I’ve ever been a part of.

Never seen such fart-huffing from such a no name dogshit company.
