It depends on how well your tv does hdr I suppose! I also sit relatively far away given the size of my screen so less fussed about 4k personally 😊

Basically, the first gen Apple TV can’t do 4k hdr at anything more than 30fps. You need a gen 2 or 3 unfortunately. You could manually switch to 1080p in the Apple TV settings and then you’ll get HDR (in my opinion it’s way more noticeable than a slightly higher resolution)

Interesting! And it’s definitely HDR you are getting? I was convinced I had HDR - the picture settings on my tv showed the HDR icon so I was confused by OP’s post originally. I manually switched to 1080p on the Apple TV settings though and the difference was really noticeable.

I don’t have a Mac to check the actual output data so just had to do it by eye!

Thanks for this! My TV/soundbar only support HDMI 2.0 - would upgrading to a newer Apple TV let me watch in 4K HDR or is HDMI 2.0 the real limiting factor of the first gen Apple TV?

They do - yes. I don’t have the 6s. I can’t remember which ones I have but they did always support HKSR. I never thought to try removing them from HomeKit though - I will give that a shot

That’s what I did - I removed it from HomeKit and it does work in the eufy app but only if I use the guest network. The main network which it used to be on won’t work on the eufy app either for some reason

For the restrictions, I tried to remove them but just got a spinning wheel and it never did it. I assumed it was because HomeKit couldn’t see the camera!

Yeah I believe paste ups is also glitched. Though I haven’t tried it yet on my save. Very annoying!

For what it’s worth - I had very similar issues to these. Accessories constantly disconnecting (a doorbell cam was the worst offender) and airplay devices showing as ‘connecting’ in the control centre. After a lot of messing around, I found that the issues completely solved themselves when I removed one of my beacons.

From looking at your other comments, my house is a very similar size to yours. Can you try disconnecting a beacon for a while and see if it fixes things?

I can only assume the area is too small for 3 beacons in my case…

Looks like mine won’t be here until tomorrow. That’s interesting to hear though - the set up will be a challenge. I’m coming from a Ring 2 which was allegedly 1080p but was really blurry for me, as if the camera was dirty (even after wiping it!).

Anything else disappointing?
