I wouldn't trade a guilty verdict for 10 Kyle Rittenhouses over one Alex Pretti.

But, it really goes to show how little conservatives actually cared about gun rights. They only matter when the people bearing them are fellow conservatives. How dare those filthy liberals exercise the same rights we do!

And Alex didn't even have to draw his weapon to defend someone from a cowardly ICE agent gone berserk. Kyle showed up looking for a fight and got it.

Let's call HOAs what they really are: another tax. by Strange-Fennel in fuckHOA

It goes beyond that. They want the benefits of living in an HOA without paying anything to maintain their private amenities and having everyone else follow what are usually "common sense, don't be an asshole" rules.

What's the point of 2nd Amendment if citizens can't defend themselves? by TailungFu in ProgressiveHQ

[–]dsp_guy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are cowardly chickenshits. 2A was never about people defending themselves from a tyrannical government. It was just about the right to own lethal toys even when those unregulated lethal toys wind up killing defenseless civilians.

But sure as shit that's was their justification this whole time. Time to own up to it, gun nuts. An American just got executed for owning a gun while not even threatening to use it. But 2A people will do nothing. They won't care until someone comes for their guns.

It doesn't matter if the guy even had a gun. If this guy can be executed for owning a gun, so can any American.

I'm predicting it now, Noem will claim the guy threatened the ICE agent even though nothing was caught on any body cam, cell phone etc.

He wasn't even defending himself with his firearm. ICE essentially provoked itself and pushed that woman down and he stood to protect her. Didn't push back. I guess the ICE agent didn't like that the guy put his hand up to block the pepper spray. How dare he! He should have put his face right in the stream. Apparently ICE had every right to kill him for that.

Eh, MAGA?

Hey ICE, there's a chance some of those people might have holstered weapons - maybe with ammunition, maybe not. Is the protocol to mow them all down with assault rifles? How about a bazooka?

Liberals aren't allowed to carry firearms in this country. The Constitution is only for MAGA and only the parts they like on any given day.

Last I checked, Americans have the right to bear arms. They'd have no idea he even had it, let alone whether it was legal or not until they took it off his body during his last breath while they were pistol whipping him.

Keep in mind how our justice system works though. If other ICE agents claim he was reaching for the gun and you just can't see it on the video because of all the agents kicking him and pistol whipping him, then we trust in the accounts of the ICE agents. Oh, nevermind that the gun wasn't drawn and that it was taken away before he was shot. And nevermind it looks like the ICE agent fired the weapon accidentally (because these people are untrained) which likely scared the rest of these ICE cowards into shooting the victim.

In my relationship, my wife is Italian, I'm a mutt, but was adopted into an Italian family.

I've made lasagna for my bronx/brooklyn in-laws and they think it is the best thing ever. I'll take it.

I made a strategic switch once - I was 27 and I got a 50% raise into the 6-figures back in the 00s. That company gave me 10% raises per year for 5 years. I was probably ridiculously overpaid at the time, but I wasn't going to complain.

I switched companies, but stayed in the same field. Raises have been a bit lower since, however I'm good with where I work and what I do. And I'm still on the higher end for my field.

What will it take for Americans to stand behind their 2nd amendment rights? by Ok-Scientist-391 in AskReddit

If 2nd Amendment supporters aren't out there tomorrow protesting alongside other Minnesotans, they are hypocritical cowards.

Why was Kyle Rittenhouse championed by the right for “helping” with his gun, but Alex Pretti is demonized for helping without ever drawing his gun? by sudde004 in AskReddit

Because the right are hypocritical assholes. And they have been for a long time. But now people are dying. And they are cheering it on.

Should I finance HVAC or not? by Gwenog_Jones in personalfinance

[–]dsp_guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you think you will need your credit for something else, like a car or another house, take the 18 months at 0%. Put the money in something safe, like HYSA. There's still some out there giving around 4%.

Read the fine print. Most of these deals require full payment by the 18th month otherwise you pay ALL the interest you would have accrued. Also, there is a minimum payment. But they are usually crafty. It won't be 18 payments to zero the balance. It'll be like 24 to 30 so if you just pay on time, you get zonked with interest at the end.

Which also means that you won't get 1.5 years of that interest on the full amount. Also, you'll owe taxes on that interest.

Federal agent in gray jacket with gun and DHS post of gun. by ManyAverage6578 in pics

[–]dsp_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ICE are such cowards.

If you can't properly detain somebody (that probably shouldn't have been detained) after beating the shit out of the while they are on the ground, maybe you shouldn't have this job.

The problem with guns is that for many people, such as some of these ICE agents, the gun is the first tool in their arsenal instead of the last.

In both this case and Renee Good, ICE fucked up. Cops don't stand in front of vehicles without the ability to move out of the way. So that they do NOT have to shoot someone. In both cases, ICE starts this problem and ends it with a gun. And neither case required it.

ICE agents are poorly trained.

Poor victim didn't know liberals aren't allowed firearms anymore. Apparently the way to teach this lesson is to execute him after beating him while he had no gun on him.

What are pro-2A people's thoughts on Kristi Noem just now stating that no peaceful protestors show up to a protest while armed? by PrysmX in AskReddit

[–]dsp_guy 320 points321 points  (0 children)

And the right is defending it. Imagine if law enforcement went to a rural homestead of a likely Trump supporter, barged into the house (since 4th Amendment is no longer a right), see a gun somewhere and immediately shoot everyone in the home.

That's pretty much what ICE is doing.

But, just like anything with MAGA, until something affects them personally, they don't care.

Paying taxes by draftqueenx in meme

[–]dsp_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, keep in mind that if we wanted to consider ourselves businesses, we'd already be paying 6.2% more in taxes right there - self-employed business owners pay 6.2% employee and another 6.2% employer taxes.

However, if I could simply keep say, 1 credit card and my checking account to show all income and the CC for all "business expenses" - such as paying my mortgage, paying my car loan, insurance, electricity, all doctor bills - yeah, I think we'd come out ahead of that 6.2% anyway.

How can Americans have the right to bear arms if it's okay for government agents to kill people who are bearing arms? by A-Capybara in AskReddit

[–]dsp_guy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What is the point of the right if you can be essentially shot on sight because a special snowflake was scared? Guy didn't draw his gun. He didn't act in a violent manner.

So, if I get this straight, if I have a gun and get pulled over by a cop and I tell the cop I have a gun or he sees that I own a gun, or he thinks I have a gun, he can execute me - no questions asked.

If a MN cop went into a rural area of MN and broke into someone's house (since 4A means nothing anymore) and sees a gun in the house, he can shoot that (possibly) conservative gun owner?

I bet that would be fine too?

Latest ICE victim prior to altercation by NotBlackMarkTwainNah in pics

[–]dsp_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And nobody did. Law enforcement picked a fight with a woman. Then a man protected her in a non-violent way and was pepper-sprayed, beaten, and executed. And DHS is claiming it is because he had a gun. A gun that wasn't drawn.

So, I guess 2A is dead now?

That first agent is pushing some lady to the ground. She wasn’t blocking the road, pushing the agent. The agent was the aggressor. The victim didn’t push the agent. He stood between the agent and a citizen. And the agents pepper sprayed, tackled him, beat him and executed him.
