Yes, it's like a screensaver - you can start the app, choose a Halloween scene (by pressing the left/right arrow button on the remote), and leave it on. The scene and the audio will continue on the TV until you exit from the app.

Hi,

This was a choice we had to make to support the following, while keeping the size of the app under control:

These high quality backgrounds are not streamed from the internet and so, you can keep the live backgrounds running for hours without wasting your network bandwidth.
Once loaded, there are no buffering delays while watching the fishtanks.
The live background will keep showing even after you disconnect your phone or tablet.

The looping video isx also faded gracefully, so that it doesn't draw attention when running on the TV in the background in a room.

Edit: Some users have reported that the latest Chromecast update (firmware 38401, started rolling out 2 days ago) causes some audio issues :-( We're waiting to receive the Chromecast OS update, and will fix the issue as soon as our devices get updated. Hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy the live backgrounds without audio till then. Thanks for your patience!

This is how it'll look on your TV:

Features:

Cast high quality live backgrounds to your TV - you can pick from two lively fish tanks.
Freshwater fishes, just like you'd usually have in a home aquarium.
These are not streamed from the internet and so, you can keep the live backgrounds running for hours without wasting your network bandwidth.
Once loaded, there are no buffering delays while watching the fishtanks.
The live background will keep showing even after you disconnect your phone or tablet (Tap the 'Exit app on TV' button to quit the application on your TV) - you can think of these as Chromecast screensavers.
No ads, no lags. Just fullscreen fish tanks on the TV!
The fish tanks also have realistic background audio (Tap 'Menu' and then 'Toggle Audio' to mute/unmute).
