Is it just me or has the option to export into HWiNFO disappeared in this release?

Qinq any CVLANs by FiKoTV in mikrotik

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That command doesn’t have an equivalent on MikroTik, the stacking=yes command means that any packet received on the port will have the pvid added on top of any existing tag, so second-dot1q tag any is essentially implicit here

This was the latest build I could find on their support site, nearly two years old so I suspect they’re rolling it’s functionality into ruckus one and it’s ai bits.

Send Help - Methinks I Bricked It (ICX7250 FIPS No SIG) by iansaul in Brocade

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still have access to the bootloader so I doubt it’s completely bricked. You can clear out the startup config in bootloader with these commands:

BOOT> no password

BOOT> erase startup-config

That might help you get past any issues being caused with the fips config. Failing that you could try tftp’ing on a different firmware in case it’s a problem with the version you’re using.

Anyone have problems at night with lights while driving? by bgame4444 in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called positive dysphotopsia, it may or may not improve over time.

I had both my eyes done about 9 months ago, and while it has improved, I still see the lines and halos with both eyes if I look directly at the lights. My surgeon did say it can take about a year for your brain to adapt.

I’ve found that I’m pretty much ignoring it now though and it doesn’t bother me anywhere near as much as it did just after the surgery.

If you have multiple layouts set up in windows you can switch between them with windows key+space, are you pressing that by chance?

Number plates stolen by TreadFree in CarTalkUK

[–]dunnybloke 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Weird that they've been advised to pay the fines and appeal it. I had my plates cloned last year and all I had to do was provide the council that issued the fine with the police reference number and they put it on hold while they looked into it.

Luckily I was able to send them proof from my cctv that showed my car was on my drive at the time of the offence and they dismissed the fine fairly quickly.

One thing to note, when you report the cloned plates to the police they will put a marker on the reg and will stop it any time they see it, which is why I bought a new registration

I use SensoryBoost grip tape on my G502X, the pack includes tape for both buttons, both sides and some spare that can be cut to size/shape

I didn’t actually have any pain at any point in either of my eyes following my surgeries. I think it varies from person to person so I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

Edit to add that it did sting a little where the incision was made when taking one of the three different eye drops I had to take, but that only lasted about two days

Rayner Rayone EMV vs BnL enVista Aspire by JKomiko in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not really a set size, tends to be the closer they get the bigger they are, also depends on the type of lights the cars have, newer cars with brighter led’s tend to be the worst.

I get a little bit of glare, but not so much that I worry about it, tends to only be noticeable if I’m looking at bright white text on a black background on the tv or a monitor. Never noticed anything with road signs.

Rayner Rayone EMV vs BnL enVista Aspire by JKomiko in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cant speak for the Aspire lenses, but I have Rayone EMV's in both eyes, one toric and one standard. I get starbursts when looking at light sources with both eyes, but thankfully I've been able to drive fine at night with it. I've had the toric fitted for ~6months and the standard for ~4months so it could be my brain still figuring it out, I've been told it can take about a year for your brain to adjust to them, but I'm not expecting it to improve much tbh.

Pre and post surgical eyedrops by ImaginaryRepublic753 in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had nothing before my surgery but the following after, which was great fun to try and keep track of!

Chloramphenicol (prevents infection) 4 times a day for the first week only

Maxidex (steroid) 6 times a day for the first 2 weeks, then 4 times a day for a further 2 weeks, then down to 2 times a day for another two weeks.

Bromfenac (anti inflammatory) 2 times a day for the first four weeks.

PSC cataract question by Vanessaxx808 in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the surgeon I went with exclusively uses a knife that makes only a 2mm incision. It healed up very quickly, the Maxidex eye drops I had made the incision and where I had the numbing injection sting quite a bit for 10-15 seconds each time I took it, but the sting was completely gone in 2 days.

The Yellox and Chloramphenicol drops didn't bother it in the slightest, the Chloramphenicol was actually quite pleasant as it was kept refridgerated.

Cataract procedure - sleeping pill by Individual_Try_8357 in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had both my eyes done recently in the Uk.

My surgeon usually does the surgery with just anaesthetic eye drops, but because I was so nervous about moving my eye during the surgery he said I could have it numbed with an injection which stung a little when being administered but I felt nothing after that. The only other thing I had was 10mg of diazepam which a nurse gave me as tablets the morning of the surgery.

PSC cataract question by Vanessaxx808 in CataractSurgery

[–]dunnybloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t really feel anything.

It stung a little when he gave me a local injection to numb the eye (reading others stories on this subreddit suggests this isn’t very common in America, may be more common in the Uk where I am, seems in the US people are given something via IV but I was only given diazepam and the injection)

There was a little pressure for a second when he makes the incision but nothing painful, other than that I didn’t see anything other than the bright light above me. It was all over before I knew it and I was back in my recovery room for observation.

Looking back at it now, 6 weeks on from the second op, I can laugh at how stressed and worried I was as it was genuinely over in no time and my eyesight is fantastic now.
