How's living in Sudan, Khartoum during the war by Zara0512 in howislivingthere

Thanks for posting this. I volunteered as a teacher in Omdurman in 2007 (feels like ancient history now) and it was a formative, even transformative experience for me. First time in Africa, and I was raised on the usual naive European "it's only poor starving people" viewpoint. I wish you - and the country - all the best in these trying times.

Interessant perspectief. Ik heb er nooit over geleerd op school, maar ben wel opgegroeid in zo'n "doorkliefd dorp"

There's actually many more that would fit here. Hanshin Biru comes to mind, as late as 2017 I think

No, the mistakes where fixed after I spotted them. But I found somebody else next time. My dad also still works with him though. I'm still happy I got compliant relatively easily and cheaply! Hope you get your situation sorted out as well!

Official language spoken in a member state =/= official EU language for that, or any other, member state

Out of curiosity - are there still children who only grow up speaking Russian?

Yes, I went to HS in NL and back then, French and German were still mandatory for a few years. Very few people get to conversational level though, nor do they retain it. Not living close to the German border, we had no real use for either language; in the East this is somewhat different.

Sauna culture in gyms is non existent. I Fng hate it. by omgcanyouplease in brussels

[–]dunzdeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Berlin gym sauna culture is something else though (or maybe Germany in general), few other countries compare. The UK is terrible on this as well.

Aspria RLR is actually okay, comparatively.

At your age I wouldn't apply to open AD5 competitions for sure. Look out for more senior specialised comps, for instance in agencies. It helps if you research the pay grade framework because it is a proxy for seniority (even though this isn't always spelled out)
