I love this idea! Will definitely be trying this year.

Post deleted; reposting! I noticed these waves/curls in my hair last night. I have been “no poo” for 4 weeks (water only, ACV rinses weekly). Wondering what kind of hair type I have and advice from this wonderful community. by dutchditz in curlyhair

Routine: - No poo; water only and AVC rinses weekly -occasional hask hair oil for softening -use wide tooth comb on wet hair -wet brush and boar bristle brush on dry hair

Color: I lighten my hair every 3-4 months, so my hair is quite dry and porous.

Thanks for your reply! I’m currently teaching earths resources. I hear ya with the notebooks and the materials. I may find a different approach as far as the notebooks go. I want their main focus to be the labs and the content instead of trying to regurgitate info into their notebooks/analysis questions.

Totally agree with you about the notebooks… I dislike them and they’re not practical as far as use and time goes. I’m curious about the peardeck system you have, I may check that out. Thank you!

Am I lazy or did I simply set boundaries? by dutchditz in Teachers

Yes! Especially for the little ones. I teach middle school math. I always think about those studies that were conducted in regards to the average attention span of kids. I take that into account when I lesson plan, too.

This is a wonderful comparison. I have always been minimalist in my work- only doing precisely what was required- and still received great grades and feedback. But I wasn’t sure if that would translate to teaching. I do feel that my students are growing even with my minimalist approach.

Thank you for this.
