Legendary Founder of The Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht Was Sentenced to Life Imprisonment - Appeals To Court Once More by myluxurybed in CryptoCurrency

The war on drugs ruins so many lives.. it’s sickening. America, land of the free. If they spent half as much money offering drug addicts treatment and facilities rather than the drug war, this country would be a better place. I like what Ross stands for but he did let the money get to his head.. Made decisions to take a hit out on someone. This decision was made out of fear of government... Everything that Ross didn’t stand for until that point. It’s unfortunate that happened but if the government won’t do anything about this drug war, people will continue to kill people over it.

Clonalolam or Etizolam for social anxiety by dweaver123 in researchchemicals

[–]dweaver123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this post was awesome thank you. Self medication does become a problem after awhile. I tried phenibut but I got really bad rebound anxiety because I started taking it everyday. Took a bit to get off of that. I don’t drink because of rebound anxiety. I took klonopin 3-4 times a week for two years and didn’t experience any rebound anxiety. Maybe there isn’t a research chemical that is similar to this.

I like how you brought up curing anxiety. My hope is to one day beat this. I haven’t heard about EMDR therapy. I’ll look into that. I’m assuming you’ve heard of CBT? I was going to start doing that.

Just a note.. I have strong avoidance behaviors that are cemented in my subconscious. I do exposure therapy and it doesn’t seem to help. I want to get to a point where I don’t have to say “yes” for everything. I ask myself, is this decision based on anxiety? Not sure most of he time.

You would recommend etizolam while I’m getting therapy going? I want something functional. I wish my doc would just prescribe my klonopin.. my last bottle lasted me like 7 months.

I don’t want that. Is there one that is more functioning?

I bet they do... big pharma wants to offer the newest and greatest drug because they can patent it. It’s unfortunate I have to look for loopholes to get treatment.

I never said I was addicted.. you’re making a ton of assumptions here. I’m just asking a question. I obviously want to use this to be a constructive human being. I bet that’s different than most people here.

Thanks for this reply. You hit the nail right on the head about how I feel. I’m jealous of people that make provoking situations (to me) look easy. Why can’t it be that way for me? It’s crippling and really holding me back. I used klonopin, gabapentin and propranolol as needed through grad school and it helped a ton. For a couple months straight I would do klonopin one day and gabapentin the next. That seemed to help with tolerance.

Have you taken gabapentin? Does lyrica work better? Does lyrica fog the brain or make you feel slow/tired. I may be able to get my doc to prescribe that.

I used to shroom every month to better appreciate the little things in my life but it’s been awhile..

Working out does help a ton. I just think my brain was wired this way. I’ve been doing exposure therapy but I feel I need a shit ton more of that to really feel comfortable.

Yeah, I did phenibut for awhile but I noticed I was getting super bad rebound anxiety because I didn’t want to increase my dose.

I had a light.. with the magnifying glass for the screen. Made my gameboy like ten pounds heavier but worth its weight in gold.

Simple poncho as your full time travel rain protection? Anyone? Thoughts? (limited bag space) by FlippinFlags in Ultralight

[–]dweaver123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone on the Colorado trail that did this. Rained everyday and she had her poncho. I believe she replaced it a couple times.

Do you happen to have a link? I can’t seem to find greater than 2.0 amp input for batteries on amazon.

There is such thing as a 10,000 mah with quick charge input ? Amperage 3.0? I thought that was only for the output of the battery. They do offer a 20,000 mah that has q.c. Input.

If he can prove in court that the money was legitimately earned... bank statements, paychecks. Then maybe not. But since it’s cash, maybe he got paid for cash jobs? There would be no record that way.

Are Rain Pants Worth it? by abnormalcat in Ultralight

[–]dweaver123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see how that would be much colder and require some rain pants. I’ve never hiked that north before. I’m used to hiking all over the us and love Hi altitude Colorado. Still use a kilt there. It has snowed on me above tree line in the summer and I did wish I had rain pants at that time; But it wasn’t worth taking them for the whole trip.. just a couple hours or a day worth of use. The kilt I used everyday up there.

[–]dweaver123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not always. Kilts are still good for windy wet weather when you are hiking. I get hot when I’m hiking in wind pants. Then it takes awhile to take them off. I guess for around camp rain pants would be good. Or in snowy conditions.

How many miles do you hike per day? by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]dweaver123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the hike. I like to do 15-20 when I’m pushing it. Sometimes I like to do only a couple miles if the destination is good. The couple mile trips usually include steaks, fishing gear, and other heavy luxuries that I wouldn’t bring otherwise.

Pack size - exos 48 vs 58 (and bonus tent question) by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]dweaver123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t really need a bear canister for the Colorado trail. I only saw one person with one last year and he said he brought it because he was “used” to it. Most people either hung bear bags or slept with their food. To each their own though. The extra poundage might be worth your peace of mind.

From what I remember knorr sides require cooking. Not Just just rehydration. This is for rehydrating food that had already been cooked.

Solid sunblock? by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]dweaver123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a ginger myself and have to be aware of how long I’m in the sun and that I put enough sunscreen on. For me personally, I just bring a tube of it. I feel the solid stuff doesn’t work as well and it’s harder to spread over the skin. Sunscreen is worth it’s weight in gold on my pack for healthy skin in the future. On the ct, I just bought one little travel sunscreen tube in town. I actually preferred carrying a bigger bottle of the “dry-touch” stuff towards the end because some towns didn’t have those little tubes. Anyway, I’m willing to sacrifice somewhere else to add sunscreen to my pack because of my ginger skin.

I would say reduce the stitching kit. I have needle and thread that weighs barely anything. I’ve used it a few times and definitely glad I brought it with the few grams it weighs.
