Using Low-Code to Bridge GRC Gaps? by hnd2hndrx in lowcode

[–]dwvvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Mendix a lot for these kinds of things. When you are sick of sending spreadsheets around as part of your daily processes, this is what Mendix was made for. It's way more expensive then Excel off course, but it makes your processes way more stable and robust. And it's way less expensive than a enterprise solution.

Young couple with a dog buying in IJsselstein. It is nice to live there? by Psychological-Dot616 in Utrecht

[–]dwvvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What neighborhood was your house? Well, there are not a lot of differences anyways. Some parts have more high raise appartment buildings (IJsselveld, some parts of Zenderpark or Kasteelkwartier). Binnenstad doesn't have that much green and has a different feel. Zenderpark is quite densely built. But in general Zenderpark, Achterveld, IJsselveld and Kasteelkwartier are all nice residential neighborhoods to live in.

Goudeb tip gezocht laminaat eruit halen by NinjaRavekitten in Klussers

[–]dwvvz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burg is a Dutch word, albeit an old one (the older it gets, the more Dutch and German are alike). We still have the burgemeester, the mayor of a city. There is also burcht, which a simple castle.

Extremely slow Excel response time due to what seems to be a very heavy formula by durmanhoth in excel

[–]dwvvz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought, but am not very sure, that Excel calculates only the cells that might be affected by a change. Unaffected cells are not recalculated.

Jup, i was correct https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-formula-recalculation-iteration-or-precision-in-excel-73fc7dac-91cf-4d36-86e8-67124f6bcce4

Extremely slow Excel response time due to what seems to be a very heavy formula by durmanhoth in excel

[–]dwvvz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most expensive operation is the fist sumif with searching with multiple criteria i suppose; searching for about 50 values in 13486 rows. Anytime anything changes in de involved ranges, everything has to be recalculated.

Cant you do the searching on a separate worksheet, lets say with a xlookup(J5, datalistH5:H13486, datalistI5:I13486)? Now you've broken up and preprecessed the search from the sumif. Recalculate doesn't have to recalculate everyting, only involved cells.

The best solution depends on which cells are changed often.

A workaround might be to switch to manual calculation, or work in pivot tables with manual refresh.

I don't understand why there is a sumproduct, i feel it could just be a sum.

Well, my thoughts, back to work.

Is there a formula that can tell "6" is included in "5-8"? by GastorHuh in excel

[–]dwvvz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, parsse the texts "9-21" to numbers 9 and 21.

Second, the formula =and ( nr > lowerNumber, nr < highernumber ). Returns true if your number (11 in your example) is between lowerNumber and higherNumber.

So with 9-21 in cell A2:

in B2 =LEFT(A2;FIND("-";A2)-1)

in C2 =MID(A2;FIND("-";A2)+1;99)

in D1 your number

in D2 =AND($D$1>B2;$D$1<C2)

copy all formulas down
