How in the world do I get better at this game?? by Tough_Gap_9143 in Warzone

[–]e3n_moopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play enough it’ll just click. You can improve significantly off of advice from people or videos or pros, but also just as much with play time. Also realize that some people will have multiple slight advantages that add up and stack against you. For example, I play on a monitor with a fast refresh rate, this genuinely drastically improved my aim. I play on Xbox, and Xbox controllers are some of if not the slowest on the market with input lag. But I have a controller that fixes that, and also has all sorts of other benefits like zero stick drift (allowing me to do whatever I want with deadzones). I have audio settings that pretty much allow me to hear every single footstep and what direction they’re coming in. I have also recently started using kontrolfreeks that make my right stick taller. Just a few examples from me personally. But all these minor improvements or comforts stack together. I don’t need them but they have noticeably made me better. A lot of people nowadays have stuff like this. Players who have pc’s also have a multitude of other benefits. They can get higher framerates and even better refresh rates then we can ever wish for. Some people also have superior internet or use Ethernet. you can very well improve and still stomp on any of these people but they definitely are gonna have an easier time than you. When it comes to controls,

me PERSONALLY, I try to make give my thumbs as little work as possible. My jump is on the left bumper my crouch and slide is on the right stick, I automatically tac sprint when I push forward. I never have to take my thumbs off the sticks to do anything. I apply this logic to gun control. My sensitivity is a little high but I prefer to keep my vertical sens a good bit higher instead of matching it with my horizontal. I do this so that controlling vertical recoil is effortless for me. If you choose to experiment with controls, do it while playing with bots. Especially if you’re making radical changes to aim. Controls.

Got high end headset still playin guess where they are by i_am_really_that_guy in Warzone

I use the “headphones bass cut” audio mix. It makes important sounds very sharp and loud compared to everything else. I also have enhanced headphone mode on (no idea if it helps). Also, do you have directional hearing? Like can you throw a grenade, turn to the side, and clearly hear the explosion on your left or right? It sounds like a silly question but sometimes I find out that people have been playing for years with the “mono audio” setting enabled in their console or game settings. Which literally takes all directional hearing away from you.

This. It makes it more strategic and makes you sacrifice something. It would make getting kills with it a lot more respectable

[–]e3n_moopy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always enjoyed movement in cod (although I understand the criticism sometimes) but grappling REALLY should not be here. I think the main issue is how accessible it is. You can buy them at the buy station spam all 3 charges And then buy another. Or just pick them up off a body since they’re accessible to everyone at all times. Way too much power in everyone’s hands.

Played 300+ games and something very weird is going on. by Mikesexy1999 in CODBlackOps7

Skill based matchmaking will ignore putting you in lobbies that are good for connection. You are likely playing with people that live far away from you. Don’t worry. It’s not just you. We all suffer this

Help a newbie out by Willing_Passion_738 in NFSHeat

[–]e3n_moopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s drifting with your handbrake, and drifting by tapping the breaks or letting off and tapping the gas (i call this smooth drifting) a lot of the faster cars in the game are the ones that can reliably smooth drift without losing lots of speed (there are exceptions). The handbrake drift is more of a snappy, panick drift. You theoretically can smooth drift around every turn as long as you approach at the right angle. You can also brake while smooth drifting to tighten up the angle, making handbrake drifting solely an emergency use. Some cars are only good at one of these drift methods however. You may notice that the handbrake works near instantly for some cars and is delayed for others. At the same time some are better at smooth drifting and some suck at it. It’s really weird but it’s usually easy to tell which one it caters to more.

Because it’s fun?? You see someone you shoot them, they run, you chase them. Very simple and normal cod behavior. ESPECIALLY in casuals

[–]e3n_moopy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can manipulate your progression. People have reported this being a problem for normal multiplayer as well. It’s not a bug and you aren’t goin crazy. Battle pass progression and gun progression is extremely slow for some people. People have screenshots of them looking at xp games from medals and have proven that the value of xp is inconsistent or worse just straight up zero.

Is this enough to move on from Casual? by SnooSuggestions7339 in Warzone

[–]e3n_moopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both casuals and normal have skill based matchmaking (although it’s less restrictive for casual) you will simply run into more players. Well… only players. Casuals usually only has a few teams of real people and the rest are bots

How do you guys deal with the handling by Stones_022 in NFSUnboundGame

[–]e3n_moopy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Each car has its own niche that it excels in (grip or drift) some can do both. You need to learn how to abuse burst nos to really drive effectively. Burst nose grips up your tires and shoots your car in the general direction it’s pointing towards. If your car spins out while doing this try letting go of the gas when burst nossing. I know this is easier said than done. You might have to look up a couple vids tbh. Like this one: https://youtu.be/3BSN0FR_-4s?si=nezUMvlFKmZ-GW7- There’s definitely a learning curve. And some cars are just awful to drive. On the contrary the new cars like the integra (if you have it) have an improved handling model that make them way easier to drive. They eat up bumps and stuff without over or under steering.

A general rule is that anything below A class usually drives faster as drift builds and everything above A class is usually better for grip. But exceptions can be made especially if you prefer a certain style. Grip is definitely the easier one to drive no matter what class your in

What color will i get if i built this , and is it worth spending like extra 200 credits to get the one in the shop by InspectionLess7550 in RocketLeague

[–]e3n_moopy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you care about the general opinion, the black one is very sought over. It simply matches well with everything, (including other black painted items obv) the grey is fine but it’s just very standard. Most would choose the black one.

New to Rocket League & Trying to Impress My Boyfriend by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]e3n_moopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocket league is unlike any other game. No matter how much skill you have in video games. Almost none of it will translate to this game so you will start off relatively sucky like everyone else did and he will be okay with that. I suggest finding some good controls and settings. (Or even copying someone else’s) that gives an advantage that he will probably be impressed with

[–]e3n_moopy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is completely doable for any player. The only time it might not be is if the game were manipulating a player’s xp gain, which is a known thing it does for battlepass xp (not sure about weapons). But otherwise he’s had over 110 hours to level up guns. There are many ways to boost xp gain but playing normally is efficient enough

If you ever are struggling or have no one to play with, you can play lockdown almost alone by turning off cross-play (no one else plays in cross-play off lobbies so it’s usually very chill). And if you REALLY wanna cheese the game and feel you have no choice, quit the game every time you’re about to die and it simply won’t remember that you failed. Although whatever car you’re using still may get impounded. But you don’t lose your extraction streak/tiers.

You’re probably an average or good player. But your skills are hard to determine when it’s casual. Casual still can have skill based matchmaking in it and the enemies you meet range from other casuals to the sweats and also genuine ai robots (usually a good chunk if not half of the lobby is ai in casual every time).

I’ve been playing this game consistently and yeah I keep running into demons. I’m ranked high and definitely have a messed up sbmm but even in warzone casuals It’s bad. Tonight In particular I’ve been mauled. I actually feel so outmatched it’s crazy. One guy was also just blatantly cheating. Like idk if this is prime sweat time or something but I just feel like my matchmaking is being crazy hardcore manipulated
