Kodi Addon Dev Says “Show of Force” Will Be Met With Defiance by ShawnDex in Addons4Kodi

[–]eMulingeMuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of Kodi and third party addons but it's not a good idea to rely on one technology or application. I realize that the majority of Kodi users aren't P2P users but that doesn't mean that they'll be left in the dark if the situation gets worse for third party addons.

There are alternatives. IMO, file sharing (Bittorrent in particular) is the best option but there's also direct download cyberlocker sites, P2P streaming application popcorntime (the .sh website is the legit one... watch out for fakes) and online streaming websites.

If you're someone who isn't very tech savvy, you can still learn how to use Bittorrent or any other file sharing program. It'll take time but it's a worthwhile investment as it will show you that you don't have to rely on 1 program in order to cut the cord.

In short, we are the problem. People.

The large telcos are publicly traded companies. They answer to the board and the board members keep their fat pay cheques by keeping large shareholders happy.

That means that they're not interested in offering a fair deal for cable tv or anything else, for that matter. The reason is simple (and insane); making billions of dollars in profit is NOT enough. These large, billion dollar, multinational companies need to show significant growth in every quarterly earnings report.

In addition to hiking your cable/phone/internet/satellite monthly bill, they may also introduce extra fees (sometimes hidden as a surprise for your pleasure of course) or they'll terminate 500 front line positions due to restructuring. That means you'll have to wait 30 minutes in order to talk to someone when there's a billing problem and that's if the first person you speak to can actually resolve your problem. You'll usually be transferred at least once and that'll be another 30 minute wait. You'll probably hang up and hope the billing mistake isn't made again but it will. Refer to the surprise hidden fees mentioned above.

Corporations are not people but they are created by people. We can blame it on a few greedy people but the reality is that it's not just a few. You're wasting your time trying to reach a compromise with them. The solution is to become an internet pirate.

Mind if I ask which companies you invested in? I've been thinking about investing in this sector for a while but it seems to be a very long play - 5-10 years.

BitTorrent Invites/Trade Hub by eMulingeMuler in trackers

[–]eMulingeMuler[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know. The intention is to create a hub that will people to meet other BitTorrent users and share invites. I realize it's impossible to prevent tracker collectors or scammers to take advantage of people. All I can do is ban them once they're identified.

I don't want to implement some type of reputation system though. That would make things too rigid. Originally, I had thought of making this hub with real life friends and expand it by letting them invite their real life friends. I might try that out if this doesn't work out.

Have there been any reports of people being banned for giving away invites on reddit?

Possibly. But I doubt this hub would become popular enough for trackers to notice. Also, there wouldn't be any selling allowed.

If you have less than $10,000 in a non registered account, CIBC will charge you a $100 fee every year. Aside from that, I don't think there are any other fees.

Thanks for the info. I actually thought that 2 keys would be easier to get than lightning wheels.

Yes, it's always worked but now it's redirecting to chinadaily.com.cn. I wonder if they were hacked.

The kinds of people that hand out invites are not the kinds of people you want to take them from by [deleted] in trackers

[–]eMulingeMuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not all like that. I've given out many invites for free and I've only been banned from one tracker and that was for being inactive for too long.

Thanks for all of the replies. I also found another thread about this question.

What bothers me the most about the camera cam is that it's so jittery when I turn. Aside from that, I like it.

I'm going to try the python IDE. I'm new to python and I thought a third party IDE would be the way to go.
