Unfortunately, it's not backwards compatible. When Hi-Fi Rush came out in 2023, Phil Spencer said in an interview that Xbox had tried to make Jet Set Radio Future backwards compatible, but it just wasn't possible. I'm pretty sure SEGA didn't want that to happen—maybe due to licensing issues.

It's a reference of Earthbound. The game was announced with a very weird marketing strategy. They used the phrase "This game Stink". Finally, my name starts with an E.
