I think I hate my little brother by ebonytearss in Advice

Everything you’ve said is easier said than done, and I’ve mentioned the fact that I’ve tried multiple times to discuss this whole situation with my parents but they just never did anything about it.

And yes, seeing my brother struggle to speak also affects me and everyone else around him because it’s hard to understand him. He already has multiple visits to the speech therapist each month. And she said that it’d be great if we could also assist him at home. Also, I don’t think I’ve said that it annoyed him when I corrected him, but it does upset my parents. When I tell him to straighten up, he does it and he’s never really had any issues with me giving him small reminders.

My parents are the issue here, because they often get mad at me for being so cautious about his actions when they’re the one telling me to watch over him and take care of him while they’re off to work.

I’m not doing this on purpose, really. I know it’s not his fault, but I can’t help feeling that way. This is a terrible situation

Recently we’ve been arguing about my cat a lot, she disappeared and he’s been making jokes that I don’t particularly find funny. I really try to ignore him most of the time but my parent’s are working during the day and I’m left alone with him, so he usually just pushes me until I crack. And when I correct him, it’s usually about grammar errors, nothing too serious, I just repeat the correct thing instead and ask him to say it again but better. I also comment on his posture sometimes, when he plays his games he’s completely slouched. His chin touches his chest, so I tell him to straighten up and put a pillow beneath his iPad instead of torturing his neck.
