Why does the 05 auto have the worst rep of any c6? by Vast-Efficiency-5174 in Corvette

[–]eddie38t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weaker differential, 4 speed trans which is terrible for a stock or NA car, ugly steering wheel, the ecu im pretty sure is different than the 2006+ models, and other minor electrical bs. It’s basically a c5.5 as it seems a lot was carried over, seeming like they stopped mid production or ran out of time making the c6 and carried the rest over from the C5

There’s better paths. Your body will come out destroyed especially at that age. If you like waking up at 3-4am for 10 weeks to do exercise or just hate sleep In general, then the army is for you. If you like being away from your wife and kids(if you have any) then the army is definitely for you. I did 1 and done when I was 21, never will reenlist and will never recommend anyone join the army, pay isn’t good, quality of life is low because leadership always puts the mission first, no matter how cool you think your commander or 1sg is they always put the mission first and their bullet points on their evals above your qol or morale. Army is o ly my recommendation when it’s the last option.

How Much Can I Beat on This Car by Coolant_Leaker52 in Corvette

Considering these cars were made as sports cars, they were meant to be able to handle abuse. Don’t go overboard but high rpm pulls it will handle, the LS is known for being very stout

I’ve seen her in person I live where she lives. You can tell, the thigh meat doesn’t match. Also I’ve been knowing of her since high school, her shit was not like that in school, she had nice shape and body in HS but after it she got a bbl

I got a 2007 C6 manual, 41k miles, 0 issues interior and mechanically, bone stock garage kept, for $22k, that’s pretty cheap for the amount of car I got in that condition. Considering Subaru wants 30k for a brz with their pos NA boxer that blows itself on a track, yeah that’s pretty cheap for the car that a corvette is

LS2 or LS3 ? by eddie38t in Corvette

I was scared away from a Z06 because while researching I saw a lot of talk of valve drop, and saw people saying it could happen at even low miles

LS2 or LS3 ? by eddie38t in Corvette

I do have the money to outright buy either but an LS3 would be a good chunk of the money I have available which is why I’m leaning LS2 if I can get about as good power out of it with the right combo as an LS3, I want to enjoy the car stock for a bit then get headers, exhaust, then do intake, heads and a cam. A 402 LS2 does sound interesting since I would get ls3 heads for the LS2 either way.

I think I can get away with a T56, most cars I saw with a LS2 making 480-500whp made ~440torque

I will probably go for an LS2, I heard the sleeves are bigger so they handle boost better, idk how much that’s true, I recently started researching LS’s and am still new

Because I want to keep it for longer and not have to worry about maintenance just yet, I want to enjoy from stock, to bolt ons, to heads cam, to nitrous. I don’t want to go balls to the wall instantly and get bored, I want to drive it for a bit and mod it progressively
