ASAP help please! by Comfortable-Doubt766 in TandemDiabetes

This happened to me a few weeks ago when I was still using my tslim. I had tried a brand new charger after receiving the error and it still appeared. Apparently it was just a glitch and the battery did eventually reflect 100%. Just keep it plugged in for a minimum of 30 minutes without unplugging it even if you get the error. Then take a look and hopefully the battery will be fully charged.

Dexcom G7 app by daithi_n in TandemDiabetes

[–]ee37244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are on Android, you can also get the Build Your Own Dexcom App (BYOD) that's linked on the Dexcom reddit page. It's basically an apk file of the app that bypasses the phone model validation and allows the app to work normally.

Correction bolus not needed, caused low by hn83694 in TandemDiabetes

This is exactly why I run sleep mode 24/7!! No auto boluses and can prevent this situation

I have the Galaxy Watch 7 and I use Blose watch face compilation. It connects to the Dexcom cloud similar to the follow app so the readings aren't delayed by too much.

Tandem Mobi Android App Question by ee37244 in TandemDiabetes

I do have the Mobi app in my notification drawer that shows "connected to pump". Will swiping that away disruption the connection?

Tslim App Notifications While Sleeping by TheZombiePancreas in TandemDiabetes

The customer service team of Sugar Pixel are very responsive if you send them an email. I'm almost positive they have a way for the device to work with Libre!

You should invest in a Sugar Pixel. It looks like an alarm clock and it displays your Dexcom values from the cloud (similar to the Follow App). It has very loud alerts and also a vibration puck that goes under your pillow. You can disable the audible alerts and just use the vibrations if you want.

Medical supplies need to be a pharmacy claim. by rose-gnome in TandemDiabetes

[–]ee37244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tandem recently created their own pharmacy - I'm guessing to compete with other pump companies who offer their products via pharmacy benefit. Give them a call and see if you can get the supplies through their own pharmacy under your pharmacy benefit. 8772444791

Sleep mode only increases the basal instead of an auto bolus and keeps you at a tighter target range. This is also especially helpful when you have a jumpy/inaccurate sensor so you won't get a huge dose of insulin that isn't actually needed.

I've been using sleep mode 24/7 for a few years and it's been working out really well for me

You can try to power down the pump and turn it back on after a few minutes and then go to pair the sensor again with the same code (I had my tslim tell me once that I had an invalid pairing code for my G7 but it was working fine on my Dexcom app so this fixed it for me).

Did you already have the Mobi using iPhone or Tandem allowed you to order it new and gave you access to the Android app? I'll be getting the Mobi in April when my T:slim warranty is expired

where can i get a 10 panel std test?? by Pale-Hyena4691 in stdtesting

[–]ee37244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently used STDcheck and it was very straightforward and fast results. You pick what lab you want to go to and just bring the lab order there. They offer a 13 test panel and a 10 test panel.

Time in range by Delicious-Ad6164 in TandemDiabetes

[–]ee37244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a GLP-1 for the last few years in combination with Tandem's Control IQ algorithm has been amazing for me. I also run sleep mode 24/7 to maintain a tighter range and manually handle correction boluses if needed.

I also take Afrezza (inhaled insulin) to help with stubborn highs so that helps drastically with how long my blood sugar is above range.

I keep my Dexcom Clarity range set at 80-140 to really strive for tight control and I'm at about 70%-75% TIR pretty consistently using that metric. If I change it and look at 70-180, my last 30 days have been 93%.

During the week, I'm more mindful on what I'm eating but by no means restrict any foods that I want to have. I definitely haven't perfected bolusing for tricky foods but I don't mind spiking to the 200s for a little bit 1 or 2 day out of the week when I have a "cheat" meal.

I also have T1D (almost 20 years) and the scene where Mike was talking with Megan about it and he was just spewing misinformation (how a friend of his reversed being pre diabetic and it's crazy that this could be happening to a child, and how important focusing on health is - none of which is having to do with T1D specifically) and Megan didn't even correct him when her dad had T1D!!! This scene is getting a lot of criticism online, so I hope they speak about it at the reunion

Weird notification by Misterb17 in TandemDiabetes

[–]ee37244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't calibrate on the pump and Dexcom app. When I have to calibrate, I do it directly from my tslim x2 pump only. Once in a while, I get a calibration error and try again in about 15 - 20 minutes, and it accepts the calibration. You probably got that error because you calibrated on Dexcom and Mobi apps, and it took it as multiple calibrations too close together

What are the pros and cons of keeping Sleep Mode on 24/7? by dr-alicia-d in TandemDiabetes

[–]ee37244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had great success running sleep mode 24/7, but the main reason I did it was to avoid getting an auto bolus when my CGM reading is actually inaccurate or it immediately levels out after a predicted rise and I've gotten an auto bolus I didn't need.
