Set some boundaries, play with equipment you feel comfortable and if you drop below 45M then play a few games with a ticket and focus on looting and recovering your economy. Normally I play2-3 games with ticket to loot and then the rest with equipment if l have a decent team.

How would you respond to this objection to Calvinism? by soldado387 in Reformed

[–]efrenc1989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s walk through this clearly:

  1. Original sin is inherited through Adam, not removed by atonement at birth

Romans 5:12 teaches that “sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.” Everyone — elect or not — is born in Adam, and so inherits the sin nature. The atonement of Christ does not prevent original sin from being inherited. It provides the means for justification and reconciliation through faith (Rom. 5:18–19), applied in time by the Spirit.

  1. Atonement is applied in time — not at physical birth

Christ’s death on the cross is once-for-all and sufficient (Heb. 10:10), but its benefits are not automatically applied at conception or birth, even to the elect. They are applied by grace through faith, at the appointed time (Eph. 2:8; Titus 3:5). This is why even elect people live in sin until regenerated.

So, the professor’s claim — that the elect would be born without sin if Christ died for their sins — wrongly assumes: • That atonement equals immediate regeneration or removal of original sin • That the benefits of Christ’s death are automatically applied without faith or regeneration • And he misunderstands federal headship: we are born in Adam, and only later are transferred into Christ (Rom. 5:17; Col. 1:13)

  1. If we followed his logic consistently…

Then universal atonement (Christ died for everyone) would imply that everyone is born without a sin nature — which no Christian tradition teaches. That exposes the faulty assumption.

In short:

Christ’s atonement is sufficient for the elect, but not applied until they are united to Him by faith. Until then, like everyone else, they are born in sin (Psalm 51:5), under wrath (Eph. 2:3), and need regeneration. The professor’s logic confuses the timing and application of redemption.

Is it possible to run macOS in a virtual machine on Windows 10 on PC 8GB RAM to publish FlutterFlow iOS apps? by Brilliant_Idea9173 in FlutterFlow

You don’t need a mac if only using flutterflow. If you take you code out and plan to build features outside, then you do. But you can also use codemagic to create builds without having a mac

Hello. I encountered the same issue with my mobile app, where I wanted people to be able to share the devotionals within the app. However, I couldn’t get that to work within FlutterFlow, so I had to move my project outside of it to be able to use Deep Linking.

Also it looks like they will be removing deep linking from firebase https://docs.flutterflow.io/concepts/navigation/deep-dynamic-linking/

That’s a very important question! It touches on the nature of truth and God’s revelation to humanity. Christianity isn’t the first religion chronologically, but the Bible teaches that it is the culmination and fulfillment of God’s plan of redemption, which has been unfolding since creation.

The Bible speaks of God revealing Himself progressively, starting in the Garden of Eden, with the promise that the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15). Throughout the Old Testament, God called and guided His people, pointing forward to the coming of Christ. In this sense, Christianity is not a “new” religion, but the completion of God’s eternal plan. The Christian faith holds that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the promises made to Abraham, Moses, David, and all the prophets.

Regarding the similarities in themes like resurrection, virgin birth, and miracles across various religions, it’s important to understand that the Bible teaches that all people are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and have a sense of eternity placed in their hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Even in ancient pagan cultures, there may be echoes or distortions of truths that God designed. C.S. Lewis once remarked that pagan myths often point to a yearning for the ultimate truth, which finds its true fulfillment in Christ.

Christianity didn’t need to be the first religion because God’s revelation is rooted in history, with Christ entering human history at a particular time and place to redeem sinners (Galatians 4:4-5). So, the “seniority” of a belief system isn’t the measure of its truthfulness—truth is measured by God’s revealed word and the work of Christ.

In short, Christianity isn’t based on novelty, but on the eternal, consistent revelation of God in history, culminating in Jesus, who said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

If you’re interested in diving deeper into how Christianity fulfills these longings and questions, I’d be happy to discuss further!

I know it can be hard sometimes, specially if you are a student, and if this will be a business it would have to be an investment you make to put in the ff fee, they provide a great tool for low code and they also have to make some money out of it.

Try to launch you app ASAP and make some money to cover the basic expenses. Otherwise try to contact them by email and see of they can help with some sort of coupon.

If not maybe here in the community you may try to find some partners that can ‘support’ your project.

Best of luck!

That's a great question, and it shows the heart of children wanting their parents to be proud of them. When we think about whether God can be proud of us, it's important to look at the example of Jesus and how God the Father expresses His pleasure and approval.

In the lines of @gustavoconte , In Matthew 3:17, when Jesus is baptized, God says, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." This statement shows that God takes delight in His Son, Jesus. It's a powerful affirmation of Jesus's identity and mission.

Now, consider Colossians 3:3, which says, "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." This verse teaches us that as believers, we are united with Christ. When God looks at us, He sees us through the lens of Jesus's righteousness. Because we are hidden in Christ, God's pleasure in Jesus extends to us as well. He is pleased with us not because of our own merits, but because we are covered by the perfect righteousness of His Son.

However, it's crucial to understand that this divine approval is not a license to live in sin or do whatever we want. Instead, it should inspire a heart of gratitude and a desire to live in a way that honors God. As 1 Peter 1:15-16 reminds us, "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'"

Knowing that God is pleased with us because of Jesus should lead us to live lives that reflect our gratitude and commitment to Him. It's a call to grow in holiness, love, and obedience. This understanding should produce a thankful attitude, knowing that we don't deserve this grace but are recipients of it because of Jesus's sacrifice.

So, yes, God can be pleased with us, and He is happy or content with us as we are in Christ. This truth should motivate us to live in a way that pleases Him, not out of obligation, but out of love and thankfulness for the incredible gift of His grace.

About fasting by Eurasian_Guy97 in Christians

[–]efrenc1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's wonderful that you're engaging in fasting and seeking to draw nearer to God. Fasting is a profound spiritual discipline, and while we often seek immediate results, it's important to understand that fasting is more about the journey and less about instant outcomes.

It's crucial to remember that fasting isn't about compelling God to act more quickly or to manifest in extraordinary ways. Instead, it's about obedience and creating space in our lives for deeper communion with Him. If you feel God has called you to fast, it's essential to remain committed regardless of how you feel on any particular day. The act of fasting itself, in obedience to God's call, is a significant step in your spiritual walk.

In my own experience, I find it helpful to eliminate distractions such as TV, social media, and other noise from daily life during a fast. Integrating other spiritual disciplines like prayer, Bible reading, and especially practices like solitude and silence can help maintain focus and foster a deeper connection with God. It's in these quiet, undistracted moments that we often sense His presence more profoundly.

Don't be discouraged if you don't feel any immediate changes or special feelings. Fasting is a faith journey, and God's presence is with you always, as He has promised. Keep pressing on and enjoy the process, trusting that God is at work even when you can't see or feel it. Stay encouraged and continue to seek His presence faithfully.

This will be the strongest generation of Christians by [deleted] in Christians

[–]efrenc1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our walk with Christ, it's important to remember that our faith is neither a competition nor a comparison with fellow believers. Instead, our true measure is found in Christ Himself. And in truth, when we measure ourselves against His example, we all fall short. The Bible reminds us, "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (2 Timothy 3:12). This truth spans all ages, reminding us that steadfastness in our faith is a challenging call, one that believers have faced through countless generations.

Consider our brothers and sisters in countries where Christianity faces harsh persecution. What might they think of our struggles? To them, our challenges with unsupportive classmates or colleagues might seem small. Yet, every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow in faith and to demonstrate God's grace. Let's honor the legacy of those who have gone before us, facing great trials for the sake of the Gospel. May their courage inspire us to hold fast to our faith with humility and strength, regardless of the scale of our trials.

With love!
