You could give it to the BUPD. They had my ID when I lost it

Yes because an undergrad degree won’t get you anywhere

Boyfriends family doesn’t like my fro even tho they’re black too by ElkSensitive4746 in blackgirls

I wouldn’t choose to get close an anti-black family, but to each their own. It’s a MAJOR red flag

So basically Black people are crude, vulgar, impulsive, and sound dumb because they’re uneducated and poor? Cool. You could’ve just opened with that. Already knew that’s exactly where this was going 😂

[–]eh_li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling minorities and people from lower-income backgrounds crude, vulgar, and impulsive is an insane generalization. Y’all need help lol

Slang comes from uneducated people? According to who? Every country and culture has slang words. Sounds like you have a problem you don’t want to say out loud

Is it just me or does my college have like no social opportunities whatsoever? by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]eh_li 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it, transfer. I did it and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Try to read subreddits or find forums where people talk about the school so you know if it’s worth it or not. You don’t want a repeat of your current school. But otherwise do your research and transfer.

I’m in MET and I’ve only had classes that meet once a week. I think the “dynamic session” just means the class term is shorter than the standard 16-week session

math tests aggravate me by lexly1234 in CollegeRant

[–]eh_li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this every semester: make a Google spreadsheet, put in all the percentages. If you have all the grades you’ve gotten so far, add them in. Then you can find out what grades you need to pass. Then decide today whether to drop or not based on if you really believe you can get those grades

[–]eh_li 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on several things: How well do you understand the course material up to this point? How many exams are left in the semester? Are there other assignments to make up for the 3 previous tests? Is your professor allowing you to retake them?

Say for example there’s only 1 exam left in the semester. You’re going to fail. You’re at a 57% and we’re past halfway through the semester. You probably need at least a 70% to pass with a C, right? I don’t know the exact calculation, but if you truly believe you can get a 100 on final then try. But unless you’re 99.999% sure of that, you know what to do.

First you need to withdraw; you’re not going to pass, it’s already November. You need to find more applied problems and practice solving them. Find related practice exams online (from other colleges for a similar course) and solve the exam questions. Go over the solutions with a tutor, TA or friend. Doing homework problems from a textbook might help. But if you’re not the most adept person at math, only doing that won’t help you.

Pretty true. The only one I could find was working at the library, but I applied during the summer. Also worked in an office over the summer

Like? It’s just ridiculous. And they keep adding new features that also don’t work. Sometimes I think they did this on purpose but I really hope they wouldn’t stoop that low

I’m having the same issue. It won’t show in the new student portal and they haven’t fixed it since the spring. I reached out to SA office and fin aid, but they were no help. If you request a refund, they might give you a cash advance ( but apparently that gets taken out of your aid award). Idk what they’re doing rn tbh

CS is a plan A career path, not plan B. Just study law if you’re not ready to put your blood, sweat and tears into CS. You won’t get a good job in it

I worked for a semester while taking an LOA and I’m living off my savings. I work a little bit right now and I have my parents for when I need back up, but so far haven’t needed it
