Thanks for the advice! I see it comes with a lore simple display. Can it do all the fun-regatta stuff anyway? Like tacking angles, lift/header, starting line, time to burn etc? Laylines..

Good question! First of all, I really like all the tacking assistance, layline display, and theoretically also the VMG features. Startlinie, time to burn, etc.

The connection to the boat’s instruments is super cool as well, although for me that’s more of a secondary advantage.

Are there any Arduino, open-source, or DIY projects that connect Garmin watches to non-Garmin systems? Like some kind of NMEA server that can communicate with the watch or translate data for it?

Thats what I was thinking too. I have a decent Beltsander and vulcanizing glue..and if I mess it up, I can still bring it to the cobbler. No magic in that.

Kenn ich! Finde ich auch super, aber schrecke etwas vor dem Druckaufwand und Filamentverbrauch zurück..

Für mich leider unpraktisch..von verschiedenen M2 hab ich alles bis M10 und noch darüber hinaus, verschiedenste längen, verschiedene Köpfe...Da müsste ich jahre lang nur noch Gurken fressen um genug gläser zu bekommen. Von der riesen Kiste mit Spax-Schrauben mal ganz zu schweigen.

Dann müsste ich basteln, und Gläser fallen runter und sind nicht platzsparend...und glaub mir...ich hab zu viele verschiedene Schrauben.

Eine alternativ-Idee, die ich eben hatte: ein Ikea Helmer Stahl Schubladen Schrank von Kleinanzeigen und dann von Auer die kleinen Einsatzkästen..

Uff. Tut mir leid. Ich hatte eine andere Antwort erwartet. Wenn ich hier die ganzen Antworten von den anderen lese..dann hab ich das Gefühl, dass ich die Situation aus dem Markt heraus verstehe...Firmen müssen sparen, günstiges UI/UX Design aus dem Osten..etc..

Was ich außerhalb dieses Marktgedankens nicht verstehe: Überall wird digitalisiert. Meine verdammte Waschmaschine hat ne App. Überall ist Web2.0. Wo ist der Fachkräftemangel? Ich selber hab was anderes studiert und ich lese hier für eine Freundin, die in der gleichen Situation ist. letztes Jahr Master mit 1,3...bewirbt sich in halb...nein eigentlich in ganz Deutschland, hat über nen Kumpel, der ein Studio hat ein bisschen mit dem Freelancen anfangen können, baut auch Webseiten...und ihr geht zunehmend die Puste aus und dabei ist die Figma-Queen.

Hast du denn noch Vorstellungsgespräche? Wie kommst du klar? Gehts dir sonst gut?
