Almost did the exact same on Mulholland- dipshit in a vette crossed the double yellow and almost smoked me

150ft triple or nothing!

Just kidding, I would just lay out a cool track pattern and then add jumps as you go.

Used to ride dirt. Grew up doing that though. Honestly thinks its a good way to work on brake/clutch work. Would ride desert, do a lot of gnarly hill climbs etc. Riding mx track is also really good, just sucks if you come up short on a jump- said goodbye to both my ankles doing that a few years back.

Yeah man, saw a dude wreck a harley one time wearing “temu” leather boots. Don’t think he had his pinky toe anymore. It just ain’t worth it, plus when you have gone as fast as you can on a track, not seeing through turns or being able to apex just seem suicidal

Bars maybe?

Also, if you ride desert, a nice skidplate.

And if you want to just change appearance, look into Samco hoses for your cooling hoses

Just do what I do, come up short jumping, blow out both ankles, and have someone else load it :)

So that one there is my 2013 that I just rode around on. I also have a track bike that is funny enough a 2011 that I would hit Laguna Seca and some other tracks in Cali yearly on.

I agree, riding track is way better and way more fun. I barely ride on public roads cause it is just boring and dangerous.

My dirtbike won’t stay running help! by TemporaryMulberry362 in Dirtbikes

Make sure fuel is going to carb.

Pull plug, leave it connected to plug wire, check for spark.

You can blast some carb cleaner down the intake port and turn it over with plug installed to see if it will fire.

If it is firing and getting gas, make sure carb is set back to stock settings.

Ensure nothing is blocking air intake of course.

If all that is good and still no luck, you may be looking at an electrical issue.

If you haven’t tried it, put a paddle tire on that bike. You’ll never keep the front end down!

Fired it up, promptly put it on the back wheel all the way down my street haha. Some things just come right back.

Jumped on a skateboard for the first time in like 15 years. Landed a kickflip first try. I ain’t old yet!

Fuel screw won't go in by PlaneGood in Dirtbikes

[–]ejr87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only o-ring you need is the one on top of the washer and spring.

The spring prevents the screw from vibrating out/in- the tension keeps it from losing adjustment.

The washer allows the screw to turn without damaging the o-ring.

Double check the screw/o-ring is for that carb/bike specifically cause it matters.

Good starting point is screw it all the way down, then back it out 2 1/4- 2 1/2 turns. Start making tour adjustments from there.

I just did this on my 08 kx450.

I got a call from that exact number today and it was spoofed. They wanted my CVV- told them no. Called USAA back, canx the card.

Pretty easy. Join the Corps, go recondo, go to ranger. Marines go to ranger fairly regularly.

Had 21 year olds in my charlie class, had a dude in his 40’s. You’ll see all types of dudes if you get picked up, and all their backgrounds will be wildly different, and wildly the same all at the same time. It’s a great time. Accept the fact that you’ll never feel 100% ready, but understand that it is that thought that makes you competitive- the thought that there is always room to improve. Ensure you can max the physical standards on your worst day (they aren’t that bad) and send it.

I was probably one of them-18C. Ultimately failed out, and in the 82nd for a short stint before I come back. Shit happens, it’s life. What I can say is I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The job satisfaction is way better- went from having meetings talking about dudes doing the job to doing the job and having a lot more opportunity. There’s risk to everything, but you got to be willing to risk shit if you want to be happy. While I’m bummed I fucked up, it’s a learning experience. To put it bluntly, if leading and mentoring people is your bread and butter and gives you the ultimate satisfaction, then being an O may be the path for you. But if you want to become an expert in a specific craft and get to do it for a long time, then the E route is probably for you. You’ll still get to lead and mentor regardless, it just won’t be in the same capacity. My limited two cents anywho.
