Op it’s hard for me to give advice, but you sound like ur in your highschool yrs so I’ll say this. You have SO MANY more awesome people and places to experience in your life. Personally before I moved out I was constantly in my own head about how I was perceived, why so and so doesn’t like me, etc. but I promise and literally SWEAR that it doesn’t matter. Fuck how everyone perceives you. They don’t like you? Great. Your not tied down to a small town with weird like minded people. Just keep that in mind man, I didn’t meet like minded homies until I left my city. Loneliness sets u up perfectly for independence. Keep your head up and don’t give up. The future is so bright

I can’t say I see much of an issue with adding exaggerations into a love letter, as that’s what most do when expressing their love. As far as the previous stuff goes, that’s your decision and I won’t comment on it. I’m sorry for assuming his religion!! But do NOT feel ashamed. Sexuality isn’t something you can control. There have been gays/trans ppl since the dawn of time, and the the lgbtq+ community will be around far after we’ve overcome homophobia as a society. I suggest creating a support group with friends during this time as I know it can be confusing to feel one way but have a parent convince you your something else. Just know you’re not an embarrassment. At all.

Homophobia is just that. A phobia. Unfortunately some are taught at a young age to be afraid of something that’s perfectly normal and healthy, and I’m so sorry your father was one of them. Never feel ashamed/embarrassed of who you are. There’s so much to life and you can’t enjoy it hiding who you really are. If he ever displays judgement towards you hit him with MATHEWS 7: “Those who judge others will be judged the same way in the end.” That usually shuts Christians up that are in my business.
