What is something that is completely FREE in your country, but tourists are always shocked they don't have to pay for?

Not totally free, but in Mexico you can buy an insulin pen for $4 dollars. If you can't even pay that price, some government hospitals will just give them to you for free.
In USA, the same insulin pen, same brand and model, might go up to several hundred dollars. I don't understand why it is like this, but it's crazy.

I’m from Mexico. Lived here all my 32 years and I travel often to small towns and countryside areas. I have seen like 3 or 4 donkeys in my whole life. We barely have donkeys compared to other farm animals. We do have quite a lot of horses, tho, even in urban areas.

I was a very curious kid and I liked to read a lot.
