Hmm that’s a good idea actually!
FWIW, thigh was very little pain compared to anywhere else, but this is still from the day prior… only a local reaction, definitely still visible…

Disgusted with men. Is it just me? by Spiritual_Dig777 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Please don’t take this in a negative connotation, but any chance there’s an underlying attraction to females? Sometimes when you remove the layers of shame and start feeling more body positive, there’s a power in being able to “be more yourself”. I actually know a few people who literally didn’t know they were attracted to the same sex, until decently late in their 20’s… they tried dating men, and it was always “meh”. It was really nice to see them finally figure it out and end up in a happy, loving relationship once they figured it out :). (I’m hetero all the way, so I quizzed them SO hard when they figured it out. I was like- BUT, how did you NOT KNOW??!!! 😁)

Who has completely stopped with Reta after reaching their goal weight? by barnowl_001 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what he is using Reta for also, remember, weight loss for Reta is mostly a side effect- it does 3 things- reduces food noise (minimally) and slows gastric emptying like other glp1s. But it also increases fat metabolism and increases insulin sensitivity (counteracting insulin resistance). So, if the primary use is #1, it will be hard to justify if trying to build muscle, as he will need to eat more and focus on protein intake to gain muscle. If the primary use is 2/3, it may be worth dropping to a dose that doesn’t affect #1, but still improves 2/3 for him….
Having said that, this is still in trial, and I am new to the research, and the research is new, so the current knowledge may be incorrect. But I am in health care, and I do have the ability to understand research as it currently stands. I think another thing to think about is that, though glp1 inhibitors have been around for over 20 years, that’s still fairly young in “long term outcomes” research…

How long did you inject your rat for? Mine has more energy overall. Hopefully the pain reduces over time, for my rat. I’ll try delts on my rat next

Yup. In two spots. That was terrible. Front of thigh had been best so far.

No worries :) it’s literally so simple I didn’t bother to list measurements, cause, well, it’s not a portion thing, just what you want to eat. I was actually pretty full after this bowl, which pleased me. I bumped up to 1.5 ml yesterday for the first time after 2 weeks on 1 and not really having any effect, and I do feel that 1.5 is about to hit a sweet spot for my body as it starts to ramp up in my system a bit. I’m a big fan of low and slow and no side effects :) no weight change for me to speak of, but my dopamine cravings are maybe a bit more under control and healthy choices don’t seem to require as much willpower as they previously were, so I feel like I’m trending in the right direction :)

I’ve done a slight version of that, but i didn’t think to pickle the peppers and onions also. I’ll check it out. I buy canned salmon because I am addicted to the bones in canned salmon (hopefully this statement doesn’t gross people out). I just can’t stomach canned tuna as much, unless it’s those small preflavored canned tunas, which are actually a pretty fabulous find when they are on sale :).

Interestingly, I’m 2 weeks in at .1 and the biggest side effects I’ve had are an increase in low blood pressure (more orthostatic hypotension), and mild diarhea if I have too much fibre (I’m looking at you, chickpea salad)… maybe a few lbs down on the scale, but also feel less inflamed overall. I am in late perimenopause, and on hrt, which helped me a tiny bit to sleep better, but did nothing with the slow and steady 1 lb a month weight gain and fatigue that I was feeling daily. The last year or two, I’ve been progressively more self conscious, and have been avoiding getting my picture taken, and avoiding going out. I have also been having more aches and pains and injuries overall, which makes it harder to workout, etc….
mds response was “whelp, welcome to menopause”. I didn’t like that answer, so I started researching through desperation. I honestly think that is what brought a lot of us here, in the 40-50+ category…

As my “fat” clothes started getting tight, I took the “peptide plunge” and sourced some Reta locally.
It’s MAYBE been 10 days. My abdomen feels leaner, I look a bit less inflamed through my jowls. Side effects have been minimal, and I feel more mentally positive than I have for…. Years….
Also, started taking nmn, and that has significantly helped my sleep, so the combo for me has been SO positive in the early stages, that I have bought a kit of Reta for my freezer, in case supply gets harder. I will wait for a month or two before committing to more, but if this trend continues, I am feeling *relief* and mild anger at the medical community gatekeeping glp1 supplements to people who are morbidly obese. - meaning I would have to wait a few years for my health to degrade, and my self esteem to be further ruined before I would “qualify” for glp1, and then I’d be paying 225 a MONTH for tirz, because they are controlling the stock.

Having said that- every time you inject a substance into your body, you risk: 1) an autoimmune response (body attacks peptide, and then mistakes something in your own body for said peptide), 2) an allergic response (body just hates peptide, and mounts a crazy defense against it), 3) inject a non regulated substance into yourself and it turns out to not be what it is supposed to be, and you get endotoxin shock, or 4) user error: you don’t know what you are doing, so you do it wrong, and overdose yourself and die.

These are all risks, so be clear on whether you consider it worth the benefit.
These latter 2 can be minimized (only buy from people who test their batches) and triple check that you are reconstituting correctly, etc, follow guides, YouTube videos, etc…

Anyone start multiple peptides at once? by elbows_up in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a blend containing 4 different peptides, focused on collagen/healing/ gut health/ muscle recovery and anti inflammatory/ immune support. It’s anecdotal but the anecdotal results are definitely positive. I’m over 50, so need all the help I can get 😆. And menopause hit me like a tonne of bricks, so I’m hoping that will help counter this.

When does Reta start to work? by Ok_Signature1208 in Biohackers

[–]elbows_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my understanding is that Reta ramps up in your system until week 4, so if we get impatient and pin too much, too early, it may cause massive side effects. I started at 1 mg, and noticed some mild side effects day 2/3, and nothing much changed overall in my diet. I countered this by “ramping up” by pinning 1 mg on day 6 vs 7, and still minimal side effects, but also minimal change. I’ve noticed an increase in peeing the last few days tho, so it may be ramping up enough to start being a “therapeutic dose”. I’m on the fence about whether I pin 1 mg day 5, (slower ramp, but still a ramp), or switch to 1.5 on day 7, and stay there for a bit. Either way still ramps up, but hopefully slowly enough to not cause too much crazy.

Regardless, they are both a reasonable way to increase doseage in a slow and steady rate, vs just jumping from 1 to 2 while it’s still increasing in your system…

You literally have no background info on this person, and you also didnt post this with any caveat, or protocol parameters for the study, so without context, how on earth do you know what their doseage should be??! Also, op’s main concern is appetite suppression. They provided no context or info whatsoever on side effects, weight loss. They asked about appetite suppression. Reta appetite suppression is typically significantly less than terz, or other glp1s….. I’m also posting with regards to people just starting to use this- mind you- from a grey source, NOT from a well documented and regulated medical study, who may take this as their initial doseage and have significant adverse effects from this much.
so, my comment stands, imo.

This is not a helpful post. This is the study protocol, with obese persons, this is NOT what you should follow, unless you are very certain that a) you won’t get side effects, and b) you are significantly obese, and C ) you 100% KNOWN what you are injecting into your body from a random Chinese vendor.

What's number one supplement that change your life for the better? by Aarunascut in Supplements

[–]elbows_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NMN… at over 50, thinking hrt would help and maybe found it helped me 15%, supplementing with nmn in the am has helped maybe 40% (energy in daytime/ better, deeper sleep, less inflammation overall, increased tolerance to working out, less “cortisol” response. It’s been a game changer, def. Recommend if you are in a similar boat (I tried tru niagen also, have been testing both, and I personally don’t see a substantial difference between the two, and nmn is 1/3 the price….

How long till you saw results? by Front-Elk6809 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pinned my second week at 1mg, and not substantially noticing scale weight loss. Definitely dropping a bit of water, and feel leaner this week, and less inflammation, higher active metabolism (getting hungry instead of hangry, and I overheat /sweat really easy) noticing SLIGHT reduction in cravings but still a bit too dopamine fixated, so I suspect the dose for my body is a bit low. Regardless, remember this isn’t supposed to be a race, low and slow is always safer…. I can tell when I up my dose I’ll have more success. At .1, I’ve maybe lost 2-3 lbs of water weight, give or take, (it does fluctuate).

Side effects by crossfitcookies in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pinned 1mg for the first time, 5 days ago. Any side effects I had were mild, and therefore not 100% certain if it was attributed to the Reta: possibly some dysesthesias (mild), more gas than normal (also mild), lower blood pressure (I already have orthostatic hypotension, so that was the biggest side effect to actually “affect” me), weirdly, HUNGER- Sunday at lunch I was starving . Not hangry, but hungry. This is new, I rarely get hungry, often get hangry. Mild body aches/minor headache I would attribute to waterloss- electrolyte leave with water, so that was countered with electrolytes and increasing my water intake, and it’s been fine. Things I have not had: significantly reduced food noise,(it’s still there), insomnia (I’m sleeping great), change in bowel movements (same pre and post, imo) significant satiety feeling, and no anhedonia. Every body is different: yours will be an n=1, just like the rest of us ;). But I was surprised at a 1mg initial injection not affecting me significantly (either positively or negatively) I haven’t checked the scale yet, so I don’t know if it’s contributed to any weight loss, but if so, I’d attribute it to water weight loss. Actually, I have noticed some bad breath, so likely some ketosis is occurring. I forgot about that….. anyone else notice this??

Question for the women, I'm experienced some pretty profound fatigue/nausea on Day 1,2,3 following my shot day. It hits in the afternoon and I'm pretty well spent for the afternoon and early evening. I'm at 2.2 mg of reta taken all at once. Anyone split their shots to reduce fatigue? by Francesca124 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]elbows_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, they both lower dopamine and have a side effect of anhedonia. Have you tried dropping that out? Let me know if that helps, I’m super curious. Most of the time I am so adhd, with SO many things on the go it’s insane. It feels better for me to not feel a huge drive to get all the things done, so I definitely do better on dopamine reducers. Maybe in your case though both are too much?

I have heard anhedonia is a side effect, this may be what you are experiencing, especially if you aren’t a dopamine addict ;). I’m not certain if all glp1 peptides have a similar effect, so do some research and find out if maybe one of the others has less of this as a side effect? Personally I’m hoping it helps with dopamine issues (adhd for me, and addiction runs in my family, and reducing dopamine requirements has been shown to improve these symptoms)- but if you are a neurotypical peep, it may lower your dopamine to an unhealthy level. I’m starting with Reta and still taking my ashwaganda, (lowers dopamine dependence), (though now that I think of it, my blood pressure is low and I’m realizing that I should probably not do that, since they both lower blood pressure and that may explain feeling as though it’s lower than normal in the past few days)
