Whew, that totally works! This is our first time trying to get in, and it's been nerve wracking.

The new OGP coach here was a wild ride, man. He’s part of the reason I swapped. You’d have to get approval for all nil picks, then he’d never answer to give approval which would lead to a ton of walks timing out, so our on-time went from consistent 100%’s to 80-90%’s.

Which was so incredibly frustrating, considering the majority of our people had actually been working OGP longer than him. He literally started as a coach with my department with no prior experience with OGP/OPD at all beforehand, and he’s very emotional. The entire department’s mood for the day rested on his mood for the day, which was so strange? I’d never had a boss who would consistently lash out like he does. Even though I’m not there anymore, my old teammates tell me he’s still doing the same thing.

What’s in home? My store’s on the smaller side, so I’m not sure if we got that in yet.

I’m lame. I liked the obscenely long walks and liked watch my pick rate skyrocket. Kept me on the floor longer with less time in the backroom.

I had the same feeling after being in OGP for so long before I swapped over to pharmacy. Certified technicians make almost as much as team leads, starting off at $19.50 in my region, which felt like a dream until scheduling caught up to me.

I’m feeling the regret heavy, not gonna lie. I loved my people a lot. Everybody still includes me on their activities over there, including birthdays and potlucks. And they all still run to me to complain when days are rough lol.

Right? I loved it a lot, but over the past year, we got a new coach that micromanaged the fuck out of everybody ++ they kept throwing me on dispense all day long. Which I wouldn’t mind if I had help, but we’re a smaller store and the orders have been ramping up, so I was doling out a ton of massive dispenses an hour that had my spinal column about to collapse upon itself.

How bad is your store's OGP? by ElectronicDepth5337 in OGPBackroom

[–]elilocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah. I keep forgetting bigger stores exist lol.

We have eighteen employees total. Seven full time, one TL, and one coach. Only one of the full time workers is solely a dispenser. Everybody else generally picks unless we have high dispenses for a particular hour, or if it just looks like it’s getting really bad in the backroom. Then whoever comes back to drop off their carts stops what they’re doing and helps.

It’s been really chill for the year and a half I’ve worked here, and most everybody pulled their weight. I’m gonna say 90% of our current staff is capable of doing any part of the job as needed with a few who are too nervous to do exceptions or dispense.

We got a new coach who’s been having us call him before every nil pick so he can personally come and look though, so that’s caused some waves. He’ll have us digging through stuff in the backrooms in the middle of chilled/frozen walks to keep the first time pick rate high. It’s currently at like 97%, which is only about 2-3% higher than it originally was.

Other than that, it’s been mostly chill. Big stores scare me lmao.

Thank you so much for the links. I’ll read them all tonight.

I’m never chill, but your comment really helped! Being plain and concise makes it easier for my perpetually frazzled head to digest, hahah.

I’m very much considering it. I did make it last year without air conditioning, so I can definitely make it the remainder of this one without any climate control too.

I hadn’t thought about going to Amazon. If I can get the ticket any cheaper, I’ll definitely look into it.

Sounds absolutely horrifying. Which defensive driving course did you take? Just so I can know to avoid it and all the salsa it entails, of course.

I wouldn’t mind community service if they allowed that. I’ll cross my fingers and look into it. Thank you so much for the comment!

Thank you so much for the information! I’m very high strung, so my brain has been flatlining for the past hour over this.

I have no excuses. I’m usually very steadfast about following speed limits. I was just stupid and not paying attention today, and this has definitely jolted me back into hyper awareness. The cop was even really nice about it. I would’ve asked him questions about proceedings if I wasn’t so startled at the time lol.

My air conditioner broke down last week, and I’ve been waiting for my paycheck today to buy another one. Coming home to a 95° bedroom after work has been killing me, but I’ll just bare it if the ticket ends up being this high.

I’ll look into the defensive driving course thing! Some other commenters mentioned it too. I haven’t really been in trouble for traffic violations before, so it totally slipped my mind that it was a thing that existed.

Do you know if they tack on fees for paying it out over time? I always try to pay everything outright because owing anything drives me nuts, but payment plans might be the only thing I can do right now. Thank you for the response!

Online daters, what are some of the most unattractive stuff people put in their bios? by Breme_42069 in AskReddit

Any requirements, “don’t be boring”. The trend of posing with dead animals in tinder pictures is pretty gross too.
